AC/DC could never be created in a board room. Foisted upon an unsuspecting public. They clawed their way in being a bit like us. A bit like what we could never be. Like a certain elected leader over here on our side of the pond. His opponents are perplexed- he’s a crook! He’ll steal from you! Well, we knew Bon Scott would likely steal our girlfriends given the chance - but still chose him over the Osmonds! Go figure.

In February 9, 1980, Bon Scott appeared with AC/DC on the Spanish TV show Aplauso, performing “Beating Around the Bush,” “Girls Got Rhythm” and “Highway to Hell.” It would become Bon Scott’s final television appearance with AC/DC. Just 10 days later, on February 19, 1980, he was gone. He was only 33 years old. Watching this footage more than 46 years later carries a whole different weight when you know what happened. He continued writing songs for AC/DC until his voluntary departure in 2014, being replaced by his nephew Stevie. As a member of AC/DC, Malcolm Young was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
