5 complete nuclei surround by others? Is that it? The thick spikes at the periphery? Thin thread around nuclei? And, are they dancing rumba or samba?

#FluorescenceFriday #cellbiology #bioart The interior of the cell is a busy place, as seen by grazing incidence structured illumination microscopy at 30 frames per minute: Lysosomes (green) can become corralled by the endoplasmic reticulum (ER, magenta), but can also remodel the ER when they are actively transported at high speed along microtubules (MTs, yellow). ER tubules are also remodeled directly when they associate with the growing or shrinking ends of MTs.

Happy to share our new preprint: We imaged protrusions of Drosophila cells with cryoET and found filaments in the microtubule lumen. Subtomo-avg and RNAi suggest these are cofilin-bound actin (cofilactin). By @CamillaVenturaS in collab with Stephen Rogers.

Just so everyone can understand, UFOs seem to fly by means of a "helical magnetic field", as seen often in astronomy (slide 1), and also drawn in crops by friendly aliens (slide 2). If we arrange six wire coils into the shape of a hexagon, and give 3-phase power, we can create a helical magnetic field, within which a central magnet will SPIN and RISE (slide 3). That matches almost exactly the shape and spin of a "hexagonal" UFO seen over California last month (movie 4). So I am trying to reverse-engineer how "alien drones" like that fly. A similar "hexagonal UFO" was drawn in crops near Ipuacu, Brazil during October 2024.
