🚨ZUCK: "Probably in 2025, Meta, as well as other companies, will have an AI that can effectively be a mid-level engineer that you have at your company that can write code. In the beginning that will be very expensive to run, then at some point a lot of the code we have in our apps will be built by AI engineers instead of people engineers. Mike Kafka was asked about the balance of Jaxson Dart's aggressive running style and keeping him healthy: "He's an aggressive player and that's what we love about him. You want to show him some examples that he can learn from, I think he's going through that now. I think he'll continue to grow from those things. At the end of the day, he is a competitor. "The one thing that's going to be truly future proof is judgment. What is the biggest challenge when you have a thousand AI engineers writing code? AI slop. In an era when you can do everything, the question is which of these things matter. On the engineer side, it is evaluating the code. Which of this code is even valuable? You can have AI engineers writing beautiful code that could be wrong, that could have bugs in it, that could be vulnerable. Someone needs to review it. Make sure to have a human review at some point, especially critical code that is in the core of your system. On the product side is judgment around what needs to be built and evaluating. And similarly in design, you have to have judgment around, does it make sense in the broader design system. I think this judgment is the number one thing that humans are going to bring in an era of infinite productivity."

Marc Andreessen: Elon inspires incredible loyalty from his employees because they know he'll just sit all night with them to fix a problem. “Elon actually delegates almost everything. He's involved in the thing that is the biggest problem right now until that thing is fixed. And then, he doesn't have to be involved in it anymore, he can go focus on the next thing that's the biggest problem for that company right now. The job number one is to remove that bottleneck and get everything flowing again. I think Elon basically has universalized that concept and he basically looks at every company like it's some sort of conceptual assembly line. When he identifies the bottleneck, he goes and he talks to the line engineers who understand the technical nature of the bottleneck. If it's people on a manufacturing line, he's talking to people directly on the line. Or if that's people in a software development group, he's talking to the people actually writing the code. He's not asking the VP of Engineering to ask the Director of Engineering to ask the manager to ask the individual contributor to write a report that's to be reviewed in three weeks. He doesn't do that. He would throw them all out of the window. There's just no way he would do that. He goes and personally finds the engineer who actually has the knowledge about the thing, and then he sits in the room with that engineer and fixes the problem with them. This is why he inspires such incredible loyalty, especially from the technical people who he works with. All he cares about is his personal survival, his wealth, and few people around him. Right now, he's really angry that his troops have not made any progress. He's also really angry at the level of economic damage that Ukraine has caused him. Why did he bomb a sacred Ukrainian monument? For the same reason he's killing civilians and doing all those other things. He's got to do something to retaliate. He's got to show that he's more brutal and more awful than anyone could imagine. So he does something very noticeable, kind of like Taliban tearing down the old Buddhist structures in Afghanistan back in the day. This is the same type of thing, just to show how unbelievably psychopathic and brutal he is.

Jensen Huang has a simple test to spot which engineers are getting left behind. "That $500,000 engineer — at the end of the year I'm going to ask him how much did you spend in tokens. And if that person said $5,000, I will go ape." His benchmark? If a top engineer isn't spending at least $250,000 worth of tokens annually, he's deeply alarmed. The parallel he draws is blunt: an engineer refusing to use AI is no different from a chip designer saying they'll just use paper and pencil instead of CAD tools. Jensen compares it to what the NBA learned when LeBron James started spending a million dollars a year on his body. At 41, he's still playing at the highest level. "If these are incredible knowledge workers, why wouldn't we give them superhuman abilities?" The implications run deeper than just productivity gains. Jensen believes the real transformation is about what disappears from an engineer's mind entirely. "Things that used to make you stop, 'this is too hard', 'this is going to take a long time', 'we're going to need a lot of people', those thoughts are gone."
