I've used Max, a visual scripting tool, once to make a game for a class assignment in college. But it’s mainly designed for sound interaction.

well you should try Astrocade I’m a game creator there. I can’t code (also a designer) so I upload my assets there and make cool playable games. I got like 2M plays on there (not to brag but would love to refer you to make games there:)

Honestly, why not just swap in some of your own characters and profit? Seems like you have what it takes to make something great. Looks really fun, and with all honesty better than the most recent 2D mario games. Very cool stuff

Just changing the character while keeping the same systems isn’t something I want to do, and properly creating a new character and world would require starting from concept art. That’s well beyond the scope of this project. 😅
