Spot on. The adductor magnus is actually the 2nd largest muscle in the lower body (after glute max) and contributes significantly to hip extension. Research shows: • Adductors contribute 20-30% of total hip extension torque • Weak adductors increase risk of sports hernia by 40% • They're crucial for maintaining femoral head centration in the acetabulum **Practical programming:** • Frequency: 2-3x weekly (they recover quickly) • Rep ranges: Both strength (6-8) and endurance (15-20) matter • Timing: Post-squat/deadlift when hips are warm **Common mistake:** Using momentum. The movement should be controlled, focusing on the squeeze. **Progress indicator:** When you can adduct 50% of your squat weight for 8+ reps with full range, you've built serious hip integrity. people with weak adductors and tight hips are a disaster to train. Making people work them should be mandatory

what if I want strong adductors and a thigh gap? 😔

Get lean asf, girl

I’m lean- ish?

Thigh gap presently or nah?

eh on a good day

You probably have too much muscle relative to your structure to have a legit thigh gap but it’s hard to fully tell cause black disguises things a bit You look great! How long have you been training?

Thank you! I wasn’t blessed w very wide hips to still have a gap w thick legs I guess 🥲 13ish years

Are thigh gaps in or out for women? I never even know 😆

Started added these and I honestly don't know why I didn't sooner

Many such cases Absolutely elite tool

The stabilizing role of the adductors against abduction torque is often overlooked when assessing knee and groin health. Essential tissue.

never done this as it looks gay but will start

I didn't see "increase mobility" which is why I'm working them in (to strive to kick high - roundhouse kick).

Add it to the list but that’s really any resistance training exercise taken through a full ROM because it’s a stretch shortening cycle

I got a groin injury on my right leg rn :/ but I still hit light weight for addiction machine slowly making my way up any advice on groin injuries :/ it’s like right in that upper groin area

Work around, never through Find exercises that don’t exacerbate it Err on the side of caution Don’t force anything

This is good advice today I tried squatting 275 where I usually hit 7-8 reps per set I could only do 4 so I went with 275 2x4 & 245 3x8 Guess I worked to what I can handle

here is a version for you, single leg if you are too strong for the stack

Yes I posted this a month or two back Dante special

here is another for them homegym guys that have a single stack but need to hit the abductors after getting strong AF....

Maybe I should stop being such a little girl and start doing these.

People who say this machine is gay got weak legs.

Tried it once but with each rep there was groin pain (sharp pinch). Any advice how to progress to the adduction machine?

I must say, my biggest injury prevention exercise is this. I play soccer regularly and the stability i have now is only because of this machine.

But what's the rule on sleeves vs sleeveless on leg day?

Lmfao I almost always wear a shirt on lower and tank on upper

What’s if my local gym down have this machine? , which exercise can be optimal?

This is ok

Thank you sir 🙏
