It became a textbook example of dynastic politics masquerading as democracy. That is what the MK Party is increasingly beginning to resemble. Political parties are supposed to serve the people, not families. Leadership positions should be earned through merit, experience and democratic processes, not inherited through bloodlines. MK supporters are free to defend this decision if they wish, but trying to justify blatant nepotism only weakens their argument. You cannot claim to be fighting for democracy while applauding the concentration of power within one family. That is not democratic renewal. It is dynastic politics dressed up as a political movement.
