We have to use our powers of perception. We would, at first glance, graciously express our gratitude for an act of kindness towards an animal washed ashore. However, no ocean wave would hurl this tortoise, and practically bury it, in a deep dug-out "crater."

did you check if it was a sea turtle or a gopher tortoise? different handling rules
