Kenneth Pham Tran, 53, was sentenced to 60 days in a San Jose jail after submitting a false claim to his insurance company. Video footage captures Daniel Victor Jones picking up his gun just moments before he took his own life on live TV. The incident occurred on a Los Angeles freeway in 1998. On Thursday, April 30, 1998, 40-year-old Jones parked his Toyota pickup truck on the LA highway. The bull elephant struggles to take unsteady, painful steps, yet he is still being forced to walk on harsh concrete roads. His right front leg appears badly damaged, and years of being used for begging and heavy labour have taken a painful toll on his body. He urgently needs immediate medical care and rescue. With the support of the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department, we are working to bring him to safety and begin critical treatment at our Elephant Hospital Campus (EHC) in Mathura. We have to act NOW.
