Hacking a Polaroid printer with Codex: the printer didn't have a Mac app or any way to connect to a laptop, so I got Codex to reverse engineer the bluetooth connectivity and build a native swift app. We then also built a Codex skill to get it to print something fun. With coding assistants you can now avoid being stuck with badly design native software, but build something yourself that you'll like and enjoy - whether it is a printer, digital photo frame or some other IoT device gathering dust around the house. It is really not that hard to do anymore.

Now it’s just about upgrading the UI to truly feel like a gamified workout app. That way, I can market it much more easily on TikTok and other social platforms. This is actually cool - I tried the same prompt for the new Interactive Playwright skill in Codex & GPT-5.4 xHigh - the one above is with the skill and the one below is without. What the skill does is uses the computer use capability of GPT-5.4 to look and navigate the UI. This never worked for me before, but with GPT-5.4 this is the first time I can actually see a massive difference. You can see how the first scene is much more coherent, higher fidelity and complete. The one below is missing a lot of elements and isn't as rich in detail. I'll keep using it for any UI work now.
