@BldrCOSheriff @boulder_fire I don't think its a good idea to condition people to believe someone else has already called 911. 🙂

@BldrCOSheriff @boulder_fire Boulder Colorado? Shiiiiiit, in about 1988, my friend Julian and I were playing with matches at our school Whittier Elementary. I guess we caused a small fire, trucks had to come. So, you can scratch that mystery off the books.

@BldrCOSheriff @boulder_fire Boulder PD: If you see something, say something. Also Boulder PD: If you see something, don't say something. Also, also Boulder PD: Also don't hold us accountable for #JonBenetRamsey foul-ups.

On the evening of July 31, 2024, a fire was started and extinguished near Panorama Point on Flagstaff Road just west of the city of Boulder. Investigators with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office have been working to determine the cause. Eyewitness video from that night show people near Panorama Point with fireworks ignited, and flames are visible. Investigators are working to identify the individuals involved, and we are interested in speaking with them. Sheriff Curtis Johnson, “We will not tolerate this blatant disregard for the life safety of the residents of Boulder County. We were under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, which prohibits the use of fireworks, with multiple wildfires burning, yet they still recklessly set off fireworks in a grassy and wooded area, which immediately caught fire. It’s only because firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control that a tragedy didn’t take place.” At this time, investigators are interested in speaking with anyone who has information as to who these individuals are, or anyone with any information related to what occurred on the evening of July 31, 2024, near Panorama Point. Based on current information, the fire started around 9:42 p.m. that evening. If you have any information about the individuals in the video, please contact the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office at 303-441-4444, or via email at [email protected]. This case is assigned to Detective Les Harrison. The associated Boulder County Sheriff’s Office case number is 24-03856.
