The infrastructure for working with video data at scale barely exists. Grass Video Search is our first step in changing that. You can now find anything in a video based on the contents of its frames, not just transcripts or tags. Over the last several months, the Grass Foundation has quietly assembled one of the largest video datasets in history: over a billion videos from across the public web, and is segmenting them by scene with VLM annotations of keyframes. This dataset is now searchable, so you can find the exact moment a visual, pattern, or concept appears. Curation has always been the bottleneck in video analysis. We built a system that automates it. This is just the beginning. Over 4 billion additional videos are queued for processing, and the index is growing daily. We’re opening access to a limited set of collaborators. If you’re a researcher, journalist, or nonprofit working with video, archives, or large-scale analysis, we’d love to hear from you.

We recently crossed 10,000 GitHub stars on Rerun 😍 That's great and all, but something bigger is happening in robotics and Physical AI right now: The open-source ecosystem has seen real acceleration over the last few years. More teams are sharing real infrastructure: datasets, models, simulators, tooling, and the unglamorous plumbing that makes iteration possible. Jan Florian Maas, Physical Intelligence, Hugging Face are just some of the names driving this forward. Visualization and data infra belong in that category. If your entire data loop depends on being able to query and inspect what your robots are doing, that layer can’t be fragile or vendor-controlled. It needs to be something you can introspect, build on, extend, and trust long-term. Huge thanks to everyone building open-source robotics. The next decade of Physical AI will be built in the open.

Meta announces Movie Gen A Cast of Media Foundation Models We present Movie Gen, a cast of foundation models that generates high-quality, 1080p HD videos with different aspect ratios and synchronized audio. We also show additional capabilities such as precise instruction-based video editing and generation of personalized videos based on a user’s image. Our models set a new state-of-the-art on multiple tasks: text-to-video synthesis, video personalization, video editing, video-to-audio generation, and text-to-audio generation. Our largest video generation model is a 30B parameter transformer trained with a maximum context length of 73K video tokens, corresponding to a generated video of 16 seconds at 16 frames-per-second. We show multiple technical innovations and simplifications on the architecture, latent spaces, training objectives and recipes, data curation, evaluation protocols, parallelization techniques, and inference optimizations that allow us to reap the benefits of scaling pre-training data, model size, and training compute for training large scale media generation models. We hope this paper helps the research community to accelerate progress and innovation in media generation models

But unlike other forms of AI content like text or image, which can be generated and ready-to-use with a single prompt, generated video still requires a lot of manual work and editing to be ready to share. This is where the real opportunity lies. The way we see it, the real race for AI video hasn’t even begun. The world is waiting for a foundation model for video that can take an idea and produce a fully usable, cohesive output from scratch. So that’s what we’re building. Introducing FLUX-mimic, a next-generation Video-Action Model for general purpose dexterity, developed in partnership with Black Forest Labs. Late last year we published mimic-video and introduced Video-Action Models (VAM): a new family of robotics foundation models built on top of video generation models. We showed that robot control reduces to visual prediction, and that robot capability is downstream of improvements in video modeling accuracy. The obvious implication was that advances in the video modeling frontier would directly translate to increased capabilities in end-to-end robot learning. FLUX-mimic is that thesis at frontier scale: We've applied our VAM architecture to the strongest video backbone available today, FLUX 3 from Black Forest Labs, and trained it on data from our own robots and wearables. General-purpose dexterity, running on a single GPU on premises. Because the model already understands world dynamics, it needs far fewer demonstrations to learn a new task. This is game-changing for our mission to deploy robots to factory floors, where industrial robot data is scarce and expensive to collect. We're now testing and deploying FLUX-mimic with manufacturing leaders like Audi USA, on complex, multi-step manipulation long considered impossible for conventional automation.

In the next 2-3 years, the skills you need to build an ETL process will fundamentally differ from anything we've done in the last decade. The EXTRACT and LOAD steps of an ETL pipeline have been solved forever. They are boring, and I suspect they will continue to be boring. But the TRANSFORM step is where the money is at (and where innovation will continue happening!) An ETL pipeline that can use Large Language Models effectively to transform data is a whole new ballgame. I recorded a video to talk about this. And more importantly, I talk about how you can build ETL pipelines to transform UNSTRUCTURED data (the kind of data that's really hard to handle).

SITUATION EXPLAINED: A new generation of AI labs are betting that world models are the path to general intelligence that can interact with the real world. We had General Intuition CEO Pim de Witte on MTS to explain what world models are, and why intuitively world models offer a clearer path towards general intelligence than LLMs. For humans, text is a technology for compressing information about the unfolding, three-dimensional world around us and communicating it to other people. When LLMs reason about the world, they do so by reconstructing the world through text. World models work by modeling the three-dimensional world at the architecture level and then allowing agents to interact with that world. Unlike an LLM, which understands space and time through text, world models perform spatial and temporal reasoning natively. General Intuition hopes to use world models to create embodied AI—machines that can reason and act in the real world. But other companies are also pushing the frontier in this space. Odyssey ML today announced a multi-agent world model, Agora-1. Their launch video shows four participants interacting with a real-time world model simulation of GoldenEye, a first-person shooter for the N64. A playable preview of the GoldenEye simulation is available on their site.

General Intuition hopes to use world models to create embodied AI—machines that can reason and act in the real world. But other companies are also pushing the frontier in this space. Odyssey ML today announced a multi-agent world model, Agora-1. Their launch video shows four participants interacting with a real-time world model simulation of GoldenEye, a first-person shooter for the N64. A playable preview of the GoldenEye simulation is available on their site.

Robots might learn better from video than from language! 📼 Most Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models learn what to do from text, but still struggle with how things move in the real world. That makes them data-hungry and slow to train. mimic video takes a different route. Instead of grounding robot control in text, it grounds it in video, using large pre-trained video models that already capture physical motion and dynamics. The idea is straightforward: let the video model handle “what will happen next,” and let a smaller control model focus only on turning that visual plan into robot actions. The result is big gains in practice. Robots trained this way need 10× less data, converge twice as fast, and perform better on both simulated benchmarks and real bimanual manipulation tasks. the IBM earnings reinforced something I think Wall Street is still underestimating: IBM is becoming an operating system for enterprise AI. The initial earnings reaction focused on the familiar metrics—revenue growth, infrastructure, margins and quarterly expectations. But that misses the bigger transformation underway. The AI market is bifurcating. On one side are companies building frontier models. On the other are companies helping enterprises operationalize AI—integrating it with existing systems and data, governing it, securing it, and turning AI into measurable business outcomes. IBM is increasingly positioning itself for that second market. And that's important because the enterprise AI conversation is moving from models to tools, from experimentation to outcomes, and ultimately toward autonomy and agents. IBM has decades of enterprise infrastructure, software, data and consulting relationships sitting underneath that transition. The mainframe isn't necessarily legacy in this world—it can become part of the context and transaction infrastructure AI acts upon. Wall Street initially looked at the quarter. As part of our Y Combinator Summer Batch 2026 application, our founder Sunny Enzo recorded a founder video walking through the Spectre AI app and the direction of the company. Sunny is doxxed, but this is the first time he is appearing on video to speak directly about Spectre AI, the product, and the market intelligence layer we are building.
