Let’s get one thing straight: Alberta does not “fund B.C.” — and B.C. isn’t some poor, helpless province clinging to Alberta’s wallet. They’ve got a booming economy, fat revenue streams, and oh yeah… a massive pipeline that everyone is lining up to applaud. Good for them. Seriously. Build it. Grow your economy. That’s what every province should be allowed to do. But here’s the part that magically gets ignored: If B.C. can build a pipeline and cash in, why does Alberta instantly get cast as the national villain for wanting to do the exact same thing? Why is resource development “visionary” for one province but “evil” when Alberta touches it? This isn’t about handouts. It’s not about who “deserves” more. It’s about the basic concept of fairness — you know, that thing Ottawa loves to preach but rarely practices. Alberta is done being told to sit quietly in the corner while other provinces run the same playbook and get showered with praise. If fairness actually means something in this country, it can’t magically stop at the B.C. border. Alberta has every right to build, grow, and protect its economy. I need Danielle or someone from her team to explain this to me because this isn't making sense. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith: "Let's have an aggressive target to double our population." Smith wants to get Alberta's population to 10m people so we can be taken seriously by the federal government. Huh?! We barely have the infrastructure to sustain current population. Our water infrastructure in Calgary is falling apart. Alberta is already the province of choice for people to move to and it's creating mass unaffordability in the rental market and housing. Alberta is already full of LMIA scams and leading the country in unemployment. Why do we need to destroy our province and make the mistakes other provinces made to peacock for the federal government?

Thank you Chris Cuomo for having me on your News Nation show tonight. It gave me the chance to explain why vaccine mandates are wrong and why Florida is absolutely right to remove them. Parents should have the final say over kids’ health, not the government. Parental choice is the cornerstone of a free society. Parents decide what their children eat, what schools they attend, what movies they watch, and they should decide what goes into their bodies. Mandates strip parents of that responsibility. Alberta flags allegedly stolen from children at Canada Day parade Imagine taking Alberta flags out of the hands of children because you don't like how their parents might vote. That's exactly what one Alberta independence campaign says happened in Wetaskiwin. Now, the RCMP investigation has reportedly been escalated. I spoke with the man behind United Alberta Flags, John Tomkinson, at Keith Wilson's sold-out 1,000-person Let Alberta Decide Stampede breakfast. The turnout at Wilson's Stampede breakfast made one thing clear: Alberta's independence movement is drawing crowds in the real world, not just online. Nearly 1,000 people packed Ranchman's Cookhouse just days after tickets went on sale, bringing together supporters and third-party advertiser groups from across the province ahead of the October 19 referendum. One of those groups was United Alberta Flags, founded by Tomkinson. His organization has been travelling the province, handing out Alberta flags and encouraging Albertans to proudly display them as part of the referendum campaign. But Tomkinson's group has also become embroiled in a growing controversy. United Alberta Flags alleges that volunteers with the opposing Forever Canadian campaign removed Alberta flags and referendum campaign materials from children and families during the Wetaskiwin Canada Day parade. According to Tomkinson, additional witnesses and video evidence have led the Wetaskiwin RCMP to elevate the investigation to the Central Alberta RCMP Investigations Division. The parental role is to ALWAYS teach your kids — values, character, manners, life skills. Schools supplement. Parents lead. Outsourcing everything because “I have my own job” isn’t parenting. It’s lazy abdication that raises entitled, unprepared kids. You’re setting your kids up for a life of dependency and indoctrination. This attitude is why we’re drowning in disrespectful, emotionally fragile, academically behind kids who can’t handle basic life. Too many “parents” think their job ends at conception and tuition payments. Parents like this are the problem. Do better! What’s the over under that the baby daddy isn’t in the picture?

We’re aware of Danielle Smith’s plan to release a parental rights policy this week. I want to be clear: The Alberta NDP will do everything we can to ensure these targeted children are protected. The timing of this announcement, days after Alberta learned of Caidence’s heartbreaking story, seems particularly cruel. While the news was reporting that 12-year-old Caidence had nearly lost her chance for a life-saving kidney transplant because of staffing shortages at the Stollery, Smith was sharing a stage and smiling in photo ops with Tucker Carlson after he spouted racist, homophobic rhetoric in Calgary. Rather than throwing their efforts, their time, and their resources towards solving the dangerous situation Alberta children are facing in our health care system, it appears the UCP is trying to gain points with their base by engaging in dog whistle politics. Yesterday, Smith said, we should “think about the kids who are listening to us as adults talking about these issues that are impacting them.” The kids *are* listening, Danielle. You’re being loud and clear.
