Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is upbeat after another meeting Mark Carney as the Liberals announced they are looking to make changes to expedite processes for big projects. "I know industry is getting a bit impatient, Albertans are getting a little bit impatient. And if we're going to to move forward with that MOU, I hope it happens in the the next number of days because I I think in Alberta there does need to be a demonstration that Canada can work. And I think that we've demonstrated a couple of things over the last number of months that we can work well together. We've changed course on a number of things and Alberta wants to continue to build major projects in partnership with Canada." Industry is getting impatient because of the unnecessary costs and red tape they face while there is nothing but lip service. The central part of the MOU is Alberta agreeing to all of Mark Carney's green agenda items as permission to do business and build projects. How is this going to change?

No defending the Alberta independence movement from Eby's treason smears. Just capitulation. The MoU she signed with Mark Carney was not worth the paper it was written on. You mean like increasing carbon taxes on us, making us spend billions on uneconomical carbon capture as a prerequisite, signing up to all net zero green agenda stuff that will bring billions in costs to our industries? 🌹👋🇨🇦⚖️ : Danielle Smith says one judge appointed by Justin Trudeau shouldn't be able to eliminate the rights of 700,000 Albertans who signed on to have a referendum on independence. If Smith fights as hard for the referendum as she has against carbon taxes and for building pipelines, the referendum vote will never happen. Smith does warn the court ruling could dramatically change how Alberta is governed.

This is the financial engineering Mark Carney is structuring Canada into. In British Columbia, the agreement with them, annouced the development of National Carbon Credit Framework. "There is no realistic solution to the climate transition that does not involve a globally coordinated system of carbon taxes. There's no realistic or fair solution that does not involve a globally coordinated system of carbon taxes. What we need is a system of carbon taxes coupled with subsidies for vulnerable households and a stream of funding for the developing world." The Alberta MOU, with its carbon taxes increaes, net zero targers, and carbon capture is what established Mark Carney the win to build this WEF playbook on.

Instead, the Premier took it as an opportunity to make demands in the most juvenile and childish way. Her actions were insulting and certainly won't get us what we need. And what we need is an ethical, competent government. Yet again, Danielle Smith and the UCP have failed to deliver. #ableg #abpoli

The only stakeholders that matter are Albertans. We need to address the existential threat to Albertan workers and consumers that has emerged with President Trump and his impending tariffs. We need tough, hard, pragmatic solutions, but instead we have a Premier with no plan, but the same old talking points. We need to sit down with industry and stakeholders to understand their needs and how we can best help them. Our Premier needs to be working to diversify our markets so our province is more sustainable in the long-term. We need a Premier who can get the job done for Alberta. But instead, Danielle Smith is more concerned with her most important stakeholder: President Trump.

🚨Nothing will be built in Canada unless it's decrabonized as Mark Carney doubles down on his Green agenda. "We want to see lower carbon conventional energy. Lower carbon mining. Lower carbon manufacturing. Because that is going to be a driver of competitiveness." As if Canada can afford this red tape that will make it all but competitive. The only thing that will make us competitive is to actually build things and participate in the global economy to begin with.
