The long-term bright spot was FSD where paid users neared 1.5M (+56% YoY) with adoption above 55% on new North American deliveries suggesting autonomy is becoming a core purchase driver rather than a niche add-on. At this valuation, Tesla needs both technological progress and a core business strong enough to fund it and this quarter delivered the first but not the second.

$AMD is down around 10% because it delivered an excellent quarter into an almost perfect bar but the beat wasn't large enough to force upward revisions to already aggressive second-half and 2027 estimates. Revenue grew 50%, Data Center more than doubled, EPYC accelerated, Instinct scaled and Helios began ramping so this looks more like an expectations reset than a weakening AI thesis. The market simply wanted more proof that the pipeline is converting faster through a larger beat, firmer Helios shipment timing and clearer revenue visibility from $META, OpenAI and Anthropic.
