The 8060s is incredible. The first set of benchmarks I ran had me in awe. At 40w it is nearly it is a light fan noise and plenty of fps.

AMD is so slow at implementing FSR4 in other games. While 1) saying that every 3.1 can run it and 2)delaying the market start of 9070xt for roughly 2 months. So much time and nothing. Today's optional adrenalin update just added... 4 games?!?

We know by now that FSR 4 is miles better than FSR 3.1 as shown in this video here (credit: Hardware Unboxed) With the right marketing and highlighting the performance and quality jump that these new GPUs have, I could see AMD gaining a lot of GPU market share.

Borderlands 4 Performance Summary in 2 minutes: 0:00 - Native Res Badass Settings the game runs bad 0:30 - Upscaling Performance Mode Badass Settings, the game barely manages to hit 60FPS 1:20 - Frame Gen turned on and now you have 100 FPS Some people will turn all these settings on and be happy with it but in my honest opinion these are used as crutches to make the game look as if it performs good. Borderlands 4 has a certain art style that doesn't look like it needs these kind of settings to be turned on to play at a high framerate but sadly it does and you can defend this if you want but the future of gaming looks bleak, using this tech to not optimize the games further will just result in input latency increase as every game will be delivered with frame-gen turned on in the devs mind.

This is the closest Game we have to compare to GTA VI in terms of Open-World Gameplay. This Matrix: Awakens footage was recorded on Xbox Series X and as you can see the FPS is struggling to stay above 30FPS. Considering GTA 6 has probably 10X times the mechanics of NPCs behavior going on and physics that are miles ahead of this game, it's safe to say that a performance mode is going to be near impossible in a PS5/Xbox Series X and S Version. Perhaps when PS5 Pro launches we will get a 60FPS mode, but things are looking rough right now. I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

Sleeping Dogs was a diamond that was never recognized by the general public. It's mind-blowing how underrated this game was For a title that was released in PS3; it had stunning interiors, shops, eating and drinking animations, parkour, fighting skills, amazing gun action, very good car driving physics and graphics that hold up extremely well even to this day It's a shame that we never got to see what Sleeping Dogs 2 would've looked like due to it being cancelled. FSR 4 Redstone VS DLSS 4.5 tested in Black Myth: Wukong at super-low resolutions In this comparison I've set the following settings: 720p output resolution and render scale at 50% (360p) for all the upscalers. I've also included other upscalers that the game offers like NXSR, TSR and FSR 3 so you can see how each one does its job at reconstructing the image. DLSS 4.5 definitely takes the cake here by showing the most pleasing image of them all, followed closely by FSR 4 Redstone. TSR also looks surprisingly good, however the edges around the character are much rougher.

For a free to play gacha game, NTE looks quite impressive in terms of graphics at least, but holy shit does the UI and hud elements look horrendous. These icons would totally make sense if you're playing on a smartphone with a touchscreen, but on a PS5 Pro and a big display, these make no sense at all and just destroys the whole beauty that this game has to offer. You can clearly tell that the target audience for this game are mostly mobile gamers

Assassins Creed: Shadows PC Port is absolute garbage. I'm playing AC: Shadows both on Console and PC, unfortunately even if you have a high-end PC, the Game stutters on PC. This is most likely because of Denuvo and bad Optimization. The Frametime is so bad I can't even begin to describe it, I'm forced to turn Frame-Gen on just to have a smooth experience. Disabling Frame-Gen and even running this Game on the lowest possible settings still results in a sub-par experience. You might have seen some posts that Highguard runs at a fake in-game resolution, but its not exactly what you think. Steam User Captain_SmellyRat noticed this issue first by pointing out that if you set render scale at 100%,the game would still show 80% of the resolution in DLSS hud UI. So If you're playing at 1080p, the internal resolution would be 864p and If you don't change the default render scale (which seems to be always set to 75%) the final resolution would be 648p. However it turns out that the in-game resolution is changed in value directly from post-processing settings that you set. Post-processing quality settings would change the internal resolution as follows: Low - 80% of in-game resolution Medium - 90% of in-game resolution High - 100% of in-game resolution If you're playing at high settings, you will not notice the game looking blurry, but if you play at medium or low settings, the game will look extremely blurry even though you think you're playing at 1080p or 4k. I find it weird that post-processing quality directly affects the internal game resolution, but if you're playing the game and it looks blurry to you, make sure you set the post processing quality to high. Whenever this was intentional or not to achieve a higher FPS, I don't exactly know. However, I still think the developers should have clarified what each settings affects the game, which in this case here it directly affects the resolution.

Even in its infancy PS5 Pro's often delivering on Cerny's target of it achieving PS5 30fps mode like fidelity, only at 60fps. Numerous tentpole games this year show sizeable improvements. Battlefield 6 Beta - "Substantially" better IQ and up to 55% better fps than PS5 in performance mode. Assassin's Creed Shadows - Generationally tansformative RTGI/fidelity mode settings, but at 60fps. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Fidelity and graphics settings of PS5's 30fps mode, but at 60fps. Death Stranding 2 - Near locked 60fps with similar IQ and fidelity as PS5's 30fps mode. Monster Hunter Wilds - Far superior image stability and more consistent 60fps vs PS5. As someone who bought a PS5 Pro at launch, I can absolutely say it's been worth it for me, and I'd struggle to go back to the base system. There will always be outliers like MGS Delta, but they don't represent typical improvements PS5 Pro generally brings. Much like PC releases with issues like shader compilation or traversal stutter, or more general bugginess vs console counterparts, it would be unfair to use those things as indicative of PC gaming performance improvements in totality, or to conclude all PC gaming hardware is a scam lol. Did FPS games peak in the 90s? I guess the newer ones have better graphics, but do they really "feel" better in terms of gameplay and fun? Unreal Tournament (Epic Games, 1999) was one of the best of its kind. A favorite for our LAN sessions back in the day. Carrying a 21" mintor over to your friend's house felt a little less heavy when you knew you'd be playing Unreal later that day... Exellent and colorful graphics (even on PCs that weren't high end, like those you needed for Quake III Arena for example), great sound, and your typical capture the flag or deathmatches - I mean, what more did you need? Plenty of "Game of the Year" nominations (with some wins), the highest critcal acclaim, and massive sales numbers. I think we can all agree that Unreal Tournament belongs in the Hall of Fame of FPS games. Or maybe I am just getting old and gloryfing things from the past too much.

Great info here from Dan Wilkins Broadcasting. Our philosophy has always been- regardless of age, we are going to assign the best umpires to the best games, whether you are 21 or 81. High school baseball is a meritocracy, the umpire assigning should be as well. If you want to feel good about the future of umpiring, this is a great story.
