Here's the Link to The Interactive Handbook on Data Structures and Algorithms, by Elias Yilma. The book is a self-contained Unity app that you can run from an executable, and it's available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Currently, there's a discount leaving it at USD 35. It includes a Python mini IDE and interpreter for exercises, and you can download the Chapter 6 (Strings) as a free sample.

Most DSA resources are either dry textbooks or passive video courses. This one lets you interact with every concept. What's inside:

→ hash Tables, trees, graphs → sorting, searching, recursion → arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues → complexity analysis for every single one

→ dynamic programming, greedy algorithms → a built-in Python environment to write and test code → 100+ solved problems with multiple approaches → 300+ visualizations you can pause, rewind, and step through

Highly recommend it if you're a visual learner. Link in the 1st comment 👇

Great contribution to make these algorithms accessible to a wider audience. This is ahead of its time imo.

This would have been awesome for LeetCode practice

Which tool was used to generate these nice memory structures, code and graphs? It has the quality of LaTeX, but it is dynamic. I'd like to use it for my documentation.

@ElijahYilma Genuinely would like to know, is it good ? Should I invest in it ?

Traditional DSA resources are either boring textbooks or passive videos. This one actually lets you play with the concepts — pause, rewind, experiment, and see everything in action.

@datavisFriendly Beautiful. I’ve been looking for a way to visualise a graph for the PhD, (using hawkes processes for diffusion) nothing works quite right and this is exactly how I wanted it to look, thanks. 🙏

If you need 680 pages to teach DSA you are a pseudo-academic elite grifter
