Waiting to fly! The launcher is up & visible from Cape Canaveral beaches at SLC-46. The first window of the long-awaited test of the joint Army-Navy LRHW / Dark Eagle hypersonic missile is about an hour away. Tracking assets are gathering around their assigned stations. 👍🏻🚀🦅

"We scare the hell out of the Chinese with this (MRC) because we keep it over in the Philippines and Japan. Keeping them moving around the indoor paycom. And then I've got long range hypersonic weapon. This has got a 3500 kilometer range which means I can range mainland China from the Guam. So able to hold threat targets at risk......(Warhead of LRHW)It's pretty small. It's under 30 lbs of explosives. It really just gets your um injured projectile out. So, it's all the speed."

Anthony Aguilar says you don't throw an untested weapon like that as a Hail Mary. You stage it close to the target, protect it in underground bunkers, and give it the highest probability of success. That is exactly why Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait is the most logical launch point and exactly why Iran is hitting it now. If the U.S. deploys its most advanced long-range strike weapon system for the first time and it fails, the strategic and reputational damage would be catastrophic.

Once these development trials are over, we will offer it to the user for user evaluation trials. Then these missiles should get inducted. We are very confident with this system and it will be a gamechanger for our services...This will have much more capabilities than our current BrahMos missile because it travels much faster than what BrahMos can and it will have a much higher range.
