LA is inept at enforcing or prosecuting the crime but can come up with some idiotic regulations to make its citizens remove all the palm trees from their property. Meanwhile the homeless party continue with cooking fires and all night lunacy. LA gets the city it deserves.

A $1000 fine per tree is insufficient....from a restitution standpoint, we would be looking at thousands of dollars to replace what was destroyed.
