Joaquin Phoenix’s Oscar-nominated performance as Commodus in Gladiator was one of the first things I thought of after seeing Robert Pattinson’s performance as Antinous in The Odyssey. Cowards…played to perfection. I would love nothing more than to see Pattinson earn an Oscar nomination for Nolan’s latest. Pattinson- like Phoenix- was so easy to hate.

We really don’t talk enough about how terrifying Darth Vader’s introduction was in the third episode of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Despite being one of the most iconic and intimidating villains in cinematic history, seeing Vader mercilessly take out someone without even igniting his lightsaber is easily one of the darkest moments I’ve ever seen in a Star Wars project. We’d never seen this character quite this angry before, and this scene is as chilling to watch as it is just outright horrifying.
