Ahmedabad rolls out AI-driven traffic system to cut signal delays and congestion. An Adaptive Traffic Control System, designed to adjust signal timings in real time has been introduced at 10 key junctions. According to officials, system uses cameras and sensors to monitor traffic density, speed and lane usage, and then changes signal timings accordingly. Officials say the system is also helping cut fuel consumption and travel time for commuters, as congestion has reduced. If the pilot project is successful, the AI-based system may be used in other areas of Ahmedabad.

#WATCH | Tamil Nadu: Residents staged a road blockade protest at Sanjeevi Nagar on the Tiruchirappalli–Chennai National Highway demanding the speedy completion of maintenance work on the Cauvery Bridge. The old Cauvery Bridge has been closed for the past two days for repair works, resulting in severe traffic congestion and causing major inconvenience to commuters. Protesters said the prolonged closure has led to unbearable delays and urged the authorities to complete the maintenance work at the earliest. Traffic police officials reached the spot and held talks with the protesters in an attempt to pacify them and restore normal traffic. Residents also pointed out that their long-pending demand for the construction of a flyover at Sanjeevi Nagar has remained unresolved for several years. They recalled that the local Member of Parliament had earlier assured that the project would be taken up soon. However, with the closure of the old Cauvery Bridge, traffic congestion has worsened, prompting the public to launch the protest. Visited the T-Chowk Flyover, Shaheen Chowk Underpass, and Faizabad Interchange Remodeling Project today to review progress and ongoing construction work. All three projects are progressing at a strong pace. Authorities were directed to further improve traffic flow at Faizabad by expanding Loop-1 and Loop-2 to three lanes, and to enhance the overall aesthetics through landscaping and improved lighting. It was instructed that all available resources be utilized to complete these projects at the earliest. Once completed, they will significantly improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and provide major relief to citizens. The T-Chowk Flyover will also benefit commuters traveling between the twin cities and those coming from Punjab. Key updates: • T-Chowk Flyover is 80% complete and set to open for traffic in early December. • All pile caps and girders have been cast; 75% of retaining walls are complete. • Shaheen Chowk Underpass: 70 girders launched; the remaining will be finalized soon. Ramp-1 and Ramp-2 are fully completed. • Faizabad Interchange: Pile foundations completed; RCC walls finished; asphalt work is underway. Continuous Traffic Jams at Gowlidoddi Dear Commissioner GHMC /Secretary MAUD. /Telangana CMO /Revanth Reddy/Cyberabad Traffic Police/NVS Reddy This narrow stretch in Gowlidoddi is the only road connecting key areas like Tellapur, Nallagandla, Kollur, Osman Nagar, and Gopanpally to the Financial District and beyond. It is already leading to huge congestion and with numerous high density under-construction apartments in these localities, traffic congestion is expected to become unbearable in the near future. Unfortunately, there appear to be no government plans for mitigating this issue, and this stretch is not included in the H-CITI development plan. I urge the government to prioritize decongesting the Gowlidoddi road by either constructing a flyover or expanding the road. Additionally, given the high-density developments along this corridor, a metro extension from Wipro Circle to Osman Nagar is essential. Please consider these measures for the next phase of Metro. I request folks in that area to like/retweet /share to amplify this for attention from concerned authorities

There is no traffic level study on roads. DLF continues to build, administration continues to look the other way. Why is permission being given to build a mall next to Ambience Mall. The road is already packed. A new DLF office building behind the Oberoi building. How many cars will it add, at least 2,000 a day ? How will the traffic move ? What about ambulances between 5 to 7 pm even on a normal day. This is the cost of corruption. Stay stuck in traffic jams. New construction needs to be banned in Gurgaon especially for malls ? Do we really need the biggest mall of India next to Ambience mall ? Do we need more shops or better traffic. The situation will only get worse. India has never seen more corruption ever. It’s the rain today, tomorrow it will be everyday traffic. Don’t believe me, try crossing the Gurgaon toll at 6 pm.
