Announcing: Targeted Spells on Frames When this functionality was removed going into Midnight, M+ healers including myself expressed how much it impacted the way they played the game. It was such a core and fun layer of information/decision making that was taken away. Over the past weeks, I have... been exploring every possible way to restore this functionality within the current UI systems, and after a lot of testing, I finally got it fully functional and 100% accurate. With either EllesmereUI v8.1.3 or the standalone raid frames addon v8.1.3, you will once again be able to see an icon on the party frame of anyone who is being cast on. if blizzard doesn't nuke this, I just might adopt your UI package while there's nothing as lethal as priory overlaps, past 21 in skyreach precasting is a must and this just solves it

Yo Ellesmere! Really liking the new frames. Would you consider adding an option to add a glowing border around an expiring buff? Currently the overlay is set in a way that makes the buff look much darker and less visible, even with very bright colours :<

Threshold doesn’t have a glow option yet but I’ll try to add one this weekend!

what exactly was the feature that was removed? to see enemies spells casted on team members or if they were receivinh heals

The ability to see incoming spells on the raid frame of the spell target

raid frames are very cool, idk if it is an option and i missed it, but can i have an option to use the party frames in arena instead of the raid ones?

I actually was trying to figure that out but blizz forces raid in arenas? Work in progress but I’m on it 🫡

« Harrek's Advanced Raid Frames » is already showing the targeted spells on frames. I downloaded it 4-5 weeks ago. Did you know it existed?

i've been talking with harrek the entire time I've been working on raid frames, no his addon does not have this ability. his was unable to be accurate except for the player + the focus target (not the whole party). he was very excited when i figured out how to actually do it for the entire party and I shared with him how I did it so he could incorporate it into his own raid frames. working with him has been massively helpful while building raid frames, but no he did not have this feature functional

question for those using ellesmere, can it do custom HOT icons? as a resto druid i use simple colored squares to indicate hots on danders frames right now. can i do the same with ellesmere? Switching over is so much work, but might be worth it....

Yes it can do all of that. Setup is extremely fast for everything so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Will probably take 10 minutes

the frames are clean, but is it even possible to add a bar gradient color option for health remaining if you are using grey health bars? like half hp is yellow low is red, i set it up to almost the exact same as danders and that is the only thing i cannot change by the looks

for that I think you'd want to change Fill Color to "Classic" coloring and then maybe mess around with some bar textures until you find the right combo to make the reactive colors the way you want

Buff manager, just create a new “Square” indicator from the sidebar

Would you be able to integrate "Big Debuffs" (i.e. larger size debuffs for important dispellable-spells such as CC's) for us arena players? Also a separate configuration for targeted border color/thickness. Despite that, the addon is great!

Just like any addon feature we are at the mercy of whatever blizzard decides to do but for now it’s working perfect!

This would require way too much maintenance to be a realistic addition to EUI, I’ll leave that to the more specialty addons for stuff like that like exboss
