The jay is a brightly coloured crow that can be found in woodland, parks and gardens. its screaming call is most likely to be heard as it flies between trees. It is famous for searching out acorns in autumnal woodlands and parks, often storing them for the winter ahead.

It's a Jay. They are elusive birds usually using dense woods for cover. That's why they are difficult to spot.

In the US we have blue jays. Very extroverted and bossy little guys.
