I agree with the other people saying it’s a driver detection issue. When I have my daughter on my lap it won’t allow FSD and says “driver not detected”

What’s the solution then? There’s nothing blocking the camera, and it fixes itself 🤷🏼‍♂️

This has nothing to do with FSD "loading". If you put the car in gear and start to drive, you will be able to pull down on the stalk and turn on FSD immediately. This is a detection of driver bug. If I lean forward, it will sometimes turn blue but then change back. It goes off and on when sitting in park.

Tap on break to signal that you want to drive.

When that happens to my, if I click the button it tells me "driver not detected". I think it's the interior camera still getting things ready

Troubleshooting steps that I can think of: Is your cabin camera for some reason unclear? Does it only happen after charging? Does it also happen if parked in front of the garage?

Weird, we have an older model 3 and a new model y and both of them are ready to go as soon as the seat belt clicks.

After the last update to 14.3.7 mine is doing the same thing.

Cars is pissed about that music choice

Test again and see if it’s immediately available the old way. You need more test data to narrow it down.

Clean the lens on your interior camera see if that does anything

Mine takes a while to get ready too sometimes but no where near as long as that. Hopefully it's addressed in the next update

14 Lite?

I have a 26 model Y and I have not experienced this. That would be frustrating though.

Try this experiment. Disable the wifi connection to your house then see if it loads faster through the Tesla AT&T connection. Just a suggestion.

I have seen mine do something similar to this while it tries to get a gps lock on its exact location. The one time it enabled right away it had my location over a block away. Would think it could remember from when i parked.

Could it be some delay about loading nav; do you have destination set or auto-set?

Maybe try outside of the garage. If it thinks there is an obstruction it will do this
