Apple Intelligence commercials make it clear that Apple’s latest software is for idiots — and using some of the new tools feels pretty stupid, too. Bridget Carey is on Bluesky points out the problems with early Apple Intelligence features, why you should feel good about turning it off.

@BridgetCarey I'm glad someone is calling out Apple's "Intelligence" features for what they are - annoying and unnecessary.

@BridgetCarey I disabled the Apple intelligence because the amount of horrible inbox recommendations or tips were horrible.

@BridgetCarey If this is the message they want to put out to the world on their "revolutionary tech". I'm worried for Apple.

@BridgetCarey I hadn’t thought about AI in that way but you are right about the commercials!

@BridgetCarey come on, this was a bit obvious! However, there are some highlights. For starters, the commercials are a little dumb, as is the summary intelligence.

@BridgetCarey @BridgetCarey nailed it: “Maybe I’m weird for wanting to live in a world where people are truthful. Maybe that’s not as important to . . . others.” Others like @Apple. What an excellent summary!

@BridgetCarey Absolutely spot on. Every commercial for AI makes me hate it more.
