No Face ID, no protective case…

Cool story, but...

The hands-on footage in this video lands the 'most consequential event in years' claim — a foldable changes the iPhone's form factor for the first time in a decade. At $1,999, is Apple's real play margin expansion on 2nm + memory, or owning the foldable story?

Price-wise, it is actually two phones stuck together 😀

Looks whose in charge

"Big news from Apple!".

What a joke from Apple? Who needs that phone? $2000 ? How about better battery life, stronger screen and lower prices.

Ten years ago, Apple used to launch truly innovative products — it was exciting. Now it’s disappointing to see them just following trends, launching nothing new, and at such high prices. Such a shame

cn people loves it 🙂↕️

👀

I want a new iPhone.

$1,999 is priced as a statement about yields, not about demand — first-gen foldable panels have terrible bin rates, and the price does the rationing until the line matures. Apple showing up last to a category is the usual pattern; the interesting question is whether they can make the crease a non-topic the way they made the notch one.

Just remember Netanyahu said parts come from Tel Aviv, which means your new IPHONE could very well be a bomb like the pagers they blew up.

Foldable is old tech

Apple skipped the base iPhone 18 entirely: this year’s entire lineup is Pro-tier, starting at $1,199. The cheapest new iPhone now costs more than last year’s Pro Max.

Here's your medal: 🎖️

No one needs it Meanwhile, the panzers are back in Lithuania at the border…

An iPad mini that folds in half for three times the price? Not quite

I guess it’s a status symbol to own one

Curious to see whether the product actually feels as significant as the buildup.

So an apple Z fold?

lol we had touch screen flip phones 20 years ago. Zero innovation.

yeah but can it run a full node while folding laundry lol

A truly new iPhone would be a major moment for Apple. It’ll be interesting to see whether the innovation lives up to the hype.
