Mixed Reality games are challenging because they must adapt to real-world spaces with dynamic content, but they don’t have to be complex. Tiny Golf is a great example, using a minimalistic aesthetic and 🙌 hand-tracking pinch-and-pull gestures to launch the golf ball. curl This is our Meta-Prompt. It allows LLMs to understand our Reader, Embeddings, Reranker, and Classifier APIs for improved codegen. Using the meta-prompt is straightforward. Just copy the prompt into your preferred LLM interface like ChatGPT, Claude, or whatever works for you, add your instructions, and you're set. In this example, we copied the entire prompt into Anthropic Claude and asked it to grab every sentence from Hacker News front page and visualize them using UMAP with matplotlib. This task is nontrivial as it combines multiple APIs from our Search Foundation, like Reader and Embedding where Claude may not have knowledge of. So if you asked Claude directly, it probably wouldn't give an optimal answer. But with the meta-prompt, Claude now has good knowledge about our APIs and can generate much better code! We can copy paste the code directly to Google Colab and with minimum modification, the code just works!

Unity shipped NEW official plugin for AI agents. They released it for Claude Code, but of course I tested it with Codex CLI. GPT-6 is better now😁 Setup got quicker: it's on the Codex marketplace too, one command to hook up. You still install the package with the CLI inside Unity, the simplification is on the agent side. I've been on a custom Unity MCP for months, so I wanted to see if the official become better. It did improved. My test setup: Unity MCP + Blender MCP together. The agent generated models, rigged and animated them in Blender, then wired everything into Unity. For rigs and animations this is flat out the best setup I've tried: just give it Blender via MCP! Watching GPT-6 autotest the game is something else. It writes autotests fast, they catch real bugs, and on my recording it's blasting through test runs like a maniac. 27 skills right now, and the Unity team says more updates are coming. If you want to build your game with AI today, pick Unity. Everything is simply faster. Unreal works too, but it's a much harder road. Source - Install:

The Unity Cube is one of the first (if not the first) apps on the #MetaQuest Store to RUN AT 207 Hz! And it also works pretty well with the experimental 240 Hz mode! I made this update so that every one of you can try for free the crazy smoothness of the new Quest framerates by just getting a little app from the store. I had this idea while I was reading about the new framerates on Quest. I thought: hey, I would like to try 207Hz, but only a very simple app could run at 207Hz in #VirtualReality. Then I realized that actually I'm the creator of such an app: The Unity Cube, the app that is just a cube. If that doesn't go at 207 Hz, no other apps can... So I worked on porting the cube to the latest SDKs, I added hand tracking, and then I implemented the 207 Hz support for the Meta Quest 3. And the result is incredibly smooth. It is like enjoying VR on steroids. There is also a strange halo effect appearing, but the experience is still enjoyable. Evan Spiegel talks Snap Spectales vs. Meta Raybans. Feels a vertically-integrated approach targeting higher end (eg. Tesla with Roadster, Apple with iPhone) is the move for smart glasses. Also, says brand association is risky for Luxxotica: “I think it’s much more harmful for Luxottica than it is for Meta. I think Meta needed to partner with Luxottica because the Meta brand…is not something that people want to put anywhere near their face. So, I think that Meta really needed [them]. I think what’s challenging for Luxottica is they took the most iconic, crazy high-margin product and they destroyed the margin and then they associated it with Meta. “Instant Placement” was announced during Connect last year, but I couldn’t find references to it in the Meta SDKs until recently. The actual code name is “EnvironmentRaycastManager”, and it is extremely helpful because it allows you to place objects on vertical or horizontal surfaces within your environment without requiring a full scene setup. 💡How does this work? This new manager utilizes the Depth API to provide raycasting functionality against the physical environment. 💡Does it impact performance? Yes, enabling this component adds an additional performance cost on top of using the Depth API. Therefore, consider enabling it only when you need raycasting functionality. #unity #xr

💡What if I could fully turn an existing full-scale VR/MR game into a mini tabletop game? Honestly, this just took 6-7 prompts + a few android permission changes to enable hand tracking. The results 🤯 and this used to take me a while because I had to manually resize and adjust everything before I could even make it work. This is exactly why Unity AI and their exposed MCP tools are such a big deal for developers.

You're welcome. - Calendar You can now connect your Google and Outlook calendars to Meta AI to receive event notifications, create personal events, and find important calendar information just by asking Meta AI. For example, say “Hey Meta, what time is my first meeting tomorrow morning?” or “Hey Meta, add yoga to my calendar tomorrow at 9 AM.” - Audible voice search expanded availability You can now use voice commands (e.g., "Hey Meta, play my audiobook") to control Audible in all English-speaking regions where both the Audible and Meta AI apps are available. - Creation location for reminders If you've turned on location services for the Meta AI app, the creation location will be saved when you create a reminder. This allows you to see the location where a reminder was created in the Meta AI app. You can also ask Meta AI about it. - Finally, in recent months, we've began to run a lot more A/B tests and experiments, so you may be seeing some other nuggets. Today I’m announcing a major multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit against Meta, the owner of Facebook & Instagram. The case is WILD and has implications for ALL OF US. On top of falsely calling me a criminal, Meta suggested my kids be taken from me. Here’s a summary of events: This all started with Meta’s AI falsely claiming that I was charged with a crime from January 6th but… I wasn’t even in DC that day (I was in TN) and I’ve never been charged with a crime IN MY LIFE. We found this out in August of 2024 when I was exposing woke policies at Harley Davidson. One dealership was unhappy with me and they posted a screenshot from Meta’s AI in an effort to attack me. This screenshot was filled with lies. I couldn’t believe it was real so I checked myself. It was even worse when I checked. From that day I’ve faced a steady stream of false accusations that are deeply damaging to my character and the safety of my family. This sounds bad, right? It gets MUCH worse. Meta was notified LAST YEAR by my lawyers, yet the defamation continues today. Some lies Meta spread about me: • Meta’s AI claims that I’ve appeared on Nick Fuentes show, that I’ve spoken at his rallies, and that I’ve supported him. I’ve never met him and this is all false. • Meta’s AI claims I’ve engaged in Holocaust denial. I’ve NEVER denied the Holocaust. • Meta’s AI tells advertisers NOT to advertise with me because of the lies it invented. • Meta tells employers NOT to hire me because of the lies it invented. • Meta suggested that MY KIDS BE TAKEN FROM ME because it would be better for them to be raised by someone more friendly to DEI and transgenderism. • Meta’s ironically claimed that I’ve been sued for DEFAMATION and EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. I’ve never been sued for either. I’ve tried to fix this privately since last year. Instead of fixing this and instituting safeguards, Meta has given us the runaround. Meta later BLACKLISTED my name from being searched (insane) but it didn’t end the defamation because Meta includes my name in news stories. You can then ask for more info about me. If you do that, Meta goes back to defaming me. In fact, the lies this week are the worst yet! Meta’s AI admits that a false accusation over J6 is extremely harmful to whoever is accused. It even agrees that a court is LIKELY to rule that this was defamation with ACTUAL MALICE. With my lawsuit today, I intend to MAKE Mark Zuckerberg Meta solve this problem. Why is this so important?
