Mamdani: I think oftentimes there's a condescension that people have when they talk about young voters and finger wag and say, you should get out there and don't ask them what would it take to bring you out here? When I talk to young people, what I hear from them, they feel like the only way they can stay in the city is if they keep living with their parents or leave the state entirely. We have to make it a place where they can aspire to dream in the city and also treat them with the seriousness that they deserve because what we'll find in our young people is leadership.

And to your point, J Cal, the companies that have free cash flow right now are the ones that again, have the most maneuverability. I hate taking away maneuverability from founders, and that is what debt does because it subjects you to a fixed schedule of payments. And so this is always a thing to remember, whether you're a business or you are an individual, when you put on that debt, it makes you more vulnerable to big disruptions in the market.”

So what happens when your new car is damaged when you pick it up? Do you accept their offer for repairs and that’s it? That’s all they offered me and I walked. I wasn’t about to take an even bigger hit on depreciation for paint work. I would have taken anything else like a free maintenance plan or extended warranty. Something other than just a repair, after all it wasn’t my fault they scraped the bumper off the bat. I always wondered what happened to the car wash guy since his actions costed them a sale and I had to get the car elsewhere, I haven’t been back to that dealer since, would you? I think buying a car is an exciting time and a delay and hit like that kind of ruins it. Most would have done the same thing.
