Live Previews are the killer feature here. The biggest friction with CLI agents is the 'Blind Trust' factor. I ask the CLI to change a button color, it says 'Done,' but I have to Alt-Tab and refresh localhost to verify. By putting the Agent and the Canvas in the same window, you closed the feedback loop. You turned a 'Chat' into a 'Workbench'.

Genuine question.. why not just use Claude Code directly in the Claude desktop app?

I too like a good UI. Claude Code vscode extension for me is perfect, a chat window where i discuss and can scroll up and see the entire process just like in an AI chat window, even seeing and reviewing their thinking process. At the same time I can see the files in vscode. It's perfect
