Visited the under construction Chakoor Naala Expressway along with KMC team. Happy to share that work is proceeding on a fast pace on both the expressway as well as the at grade road which will run parallel to the Natha Khana Bridge. Street lighting system is also being installed. If all goes well carpeting of the road will start in the first week of October inshallah #KarachiWorks

Russian media report that the Crimean Bridge is currently under attack by Ukrainian drones. Meanwhile, significant traffic jams have formed on the Crimean Bridge itself, with around 2,800 vehicles queuing: 1,000 vehicles are waiting to cross on the Taman side; 1,800 vehicles on the Kerch side. According to Russian information channels, the waiting time is three to five hours. Traffic on the bridge was halted for more than six hours overnight.

This bridge was a major concern, as traffic from Steel Bridge to the Assembly and across Saidabad was affected. Its foundation was laid in 2018-19. The Saidabad bridge is expected to be completed first, followed by the other bridge. I was recently told that the tentative date is 15 August, but the final inauguration date will be decided by the Chief Minister. If both bridges are completed together, it will be a great development."
