Visited the under construction site of new flyover at Khalid Bin Waleed Road in Cattle Colony, Malir. This bridge over the railway crossing will provide uninterrupted access to people as well as milk suppliers to Shahrah E Faisal & National Highway. Being built by KMC at a cost of more than Rs 1.6 Billion, the bridge is to be completed within 100 days inshallah #KarachiWorks

Russian media report that the Crimean Bridge is currently under attack by Ukrainian drones. Meanwhile, significant traffic jams have formed on the Crimean Bridge itself, with around 2,800 vehicles queuing: 1,000 vehicles are waiting to cross on the Taman side; 1,800 vehicles on the Kerch side. According to Russian information channels, the waiting time is three to five hours. Traffic on the bridge was halted for more than six hours overnight.

Neither end of the bridge is in the correct position, preventing alignment with the locking mechanism that allows vehicle traffic to cross. Crews on boats have spent hours spraying water onto the bridge to cool the metal so they can realign it with the road deck. The Engineers of the Tiger Division constructed a 110-foot-long Bailey Bridge on the eastern approach, overcoming significant challenges such as collapsed approach roads and severely limited working space in 12 hours. Yesterday's rainfall wreaked severe damage on the diversion around a bridge in my hometown of Ahwiam. The road is currently under construction, and a new bridge is being constructed to replace the failing one. The contractor had created a diversion as an interim measure, which was flooded. Last night and this morning, I engaged with the contractor, and this afternoon, remedial work commenced to address the issue. I will continue to work with the contractor and the Roads Ministry to expedite the road's completion. I remain committed to working with my District Chief Executive to address challenges expeditiously. Our focus remains on producing results. For God and Country. 🦁🇬🇭
