Briefed Chairman Bilawal on the progress of 100 MGD Sewerage Treatment Plant (TP1) at Gutter Bagheecha. The pumping machinery is now at the Pump House. In the 1st phase, we plan on secondary treatment of 35 MGD & then upgrade it to another 65 MGD. Our eventual target is to have tertiary treatment of this water which can then be utilised for industrial purposes. This initiative will not only save precious fresh water for human consumption but also enable us to protect our marine life 🙌 #KarachiWorks

Visited TP III & KWSC Pumping Station along with Musaddiq Malik sahab, Federal Minister for Climate Change. He was briefed on our project of treating waste water & utilising it for industrial use. Also sought financial support of Federal Govt & access to international funding for these large scale projects. Musaddiq sb was happy to see the work & assured complete support to this intervention which is aimed at protecting marine life as well mitigating water needs of our industries

🚨🚨SECRETARY GENERAL SERVICE DELIVERY ALERT IN CITY OF JOHANNESBURG Today we addressed the issue of the burst water pipes in Homestead Road, Bryanston in the City of Johannesburg. Upon receiving complaints the city acted to switch of the flow of water as not to waste any of the drinking water. The reason for this, is that the municipal workers are currently striking thus the slow maintenance. I have come personally to make sure that the issue is fixed and that chance takers do not distort this and use it as a political scoring point. We must address the issues affecting our municipalities and as the Secretary General I have committed myself to be on the frontlines in addressing issues. I have also requested that the city communicates speedily and effectively to residents affected by this and they have assured me it is being addressed.

The work at Adiyan Water Works Phase II Project is going on steadily as scheduled with the pipe laying at 98% completion. While there are some contingencies to smoothen out, the hard work continues to be done and in accordance to the project timeline with maximum efficiency. This project, a 320,000³/day water treatment plant, when completed, will supply over 70millions gallons of water to homes within the Lagos metropolis. In no time, houses across Lagos will have pipe borne water flowing yet again. This reaffirms the Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration’s commitment to ensuring supply of portable water to homes in Lagos State in line with the THEMES+ Agenda. #CleanerLagos #AGreaterLagosRising

The Sameer Project is doing the work we do with a clear aim: the liberation of Palestine. Our decisions with aid distributions are made with that aim in mind, support: Water is life and without water, certain areas in the Gaza are unlivable. So with the drop in donations, the Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x Sameer Project decided to focus our water campaign to the areas in the far North like Jabalia and Beit Lahia, as well as Tuffah and Zaytoun daily. This will encourage the residents of those areas to come back and for those already there to stay. Our water campaign is an integral part of our work at the Sameer Project. CM Sindh visited the University Road to oversee the improvement work on the mixed traffic lane as well as the new storm water drain. Unfortunate delays have caused a lot of inconvenience to the people which is regretted. However, the remedial work is now proceeding at a fast pace & we should be able to have the mixed traffic corridor completed by 31st July

Under the Punjab Saaf Pani Initiative, we are rapidly expanding our network of water filtration, surface water treatment and bottling plants to ensure that every household even in the most remote areas has access to safe, hygienic water. In remote areas where water is not available, bottled water will be delivered to doorsteps. No city or village will be left behind. InshAllah!

We are committed to releasing the 177.25 TMC (thousand million cubic) of water mandated by the Supreme Court and will continue to honour that commitment. It is a balancing reservoir project aimed at ensuring water security. Not even a single TMC of water from this project can be used for irrigation. Its primary purpose is to provide drinking water, especially for Bengaluru, whose population is growing rapidly. We cannot bring water from the Krishna river; the Cauvery is our only source. With a balancing reservoir in place, we can store and manage water more effectively..."

Today, I had the privilege of leading a team of state officials on an extensive tour of the Adiyan Water Works I & II. This visit reaffirmed our commitment to delivering 100 million gallons of clean, pipe-borne water daily to Lagos residents. The tour became necessary in order to asses the level of the work done since the contractor have been mobilized. This water project is pivotal. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is determined to solve our water challenges, and we are making significant progress. The ongoing laying of 8.1km of 1600mm Diameter Ductile Iron (DI) pipes for raw water pumping mains are being laid along the stretch of the expansive Adiyan premises. The Project Manager, representing Salini Nigeria Limited, Mr Cifola Daniele has assured the Ministry that the ongoing construction of 320,000³/day water treatment plant that will be of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Standard. The Water Treatment Plant project which will be closely monitored by the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources is expected to run for a period of 36months and it will definitely put an end to scarcity of pipe-borne water to various communities in Lagos State. The goal is clear: to ensure every home in Lagos has access to safe, clean water. We continue our “Emergency Water Relief Project” in the central region where families are suffering from the lack of clean water. The hospitals have been seeing more cases of kidney issues due to the consumption of salt water from the sea or unprocessed water from wells. The Sameer Project provided 16,000 liters of fresh drinking water to Al-Rasheed Coastal Camp and Asqalan Camp, west of Deir al-Balah on July 16. These areas, right by the beach, can potentially have seawater leaking into the ground water, so it’s particularly important to provide clean water to the displaced families in these camps. Support the South Campaign as we bring water to areas in Central Gaza.
