As an MP she want our government should control Trump so he would control tariff and that would control crashing of our share market. Probably because of her great understanding, NCP MPs went with Ajit Pawar!

Investors have the predictability they need. Provisional application will show the agreement’s tangible benefits. And how legitimate sensivities have been adressed. Giving European Parliament and Member States the fullest evidence-based picture to carry out their democratic oversight.

Tariffs 101: Tariffs are not paid by countries. Canada does not pay them to the US. Likewise, the US does not pay them to Canada. The importer from that country imposing the tariffs, pays it. For example, if Trump imposes 50% tariffs on trucks made by GM, but GM made them in Canada. GM is paying $50K in tariffs. Not Canada. And that $50K extra in tariffs, is ultimately paid by the consumer. Ultimately, it's a tax paid by businesses, passed down to the consumer of the country that imposed the tariffs. Likewise, Canada imposing tariffs on the US, only hurts Canadian customers. Countertariffs are done strategically, to prevent the flight of manufacturing, from Canada, to the US. In the end, during trade wars like this, consumers always end up paying the price.

The middle class is being sandwiched between the rich class and the poor class. The middle class is caught between rising costs and rising taxes. For the middle class, this Budget had one message. Carry on as you were. In Parliament, I pointed out that there was no revision in income tax slabs and no increase in standard deduction, despite stagnant salaries and inflation at 6.8%. I urged the Finance Minister to correct this in this Budget itself by raising the standard deduction from ₹75,000 to ₹1.5 lakh for the salaried class. Meanwhile, household costs keep climbing. Education 8% 🔺, healthcare 9% 🔺, rent 7% 🔺, food 6% 🔺, transport 5% 🔺. For the first time in years, personal income tax collections are higher than corporate tax. Individuals paid around ₹11 lakh crore, corporates about ₹9.8 lakh crore. Either give tax relief, or give investment savings & incentives so the middle class can save more and build wealth.

CEOs in meeting with Trump said he was pandering and all over the place as he allegedly proposed replacing income taxes with tariffs. If the US was to replace income taxes with tariffs, not only would inflation soar but the lower and middle classes would be devastated. If you massively tax imports, prices will rise significantly. Since the lower and middle classes spend the majority of their income, this means almost the full tax burden is shifted to the less wealthy Americans while the ultra wealthy Americans effectively have nearly no tax burden. Trump is for the wealthy, not the little guy. We saw this with his $2T corporate tax cuts.

They are the same set of people that ensure that our refineries produces nothing for 25 years and continue to collect salaries for the period. The govt could not sack them,because they were threatening the govt with strike. And since the govt dread scarcity if there is any strike, the govt have to continue paying them salaries for 25 years for doing nothing. Don't even let me go into what they received as salaries and allowances. You will be shocked if you know what they pay them in the oil industry when compared with other civil servant.
