The middle class is being sandwiched between the rich class and the poor class. The middle class is caught between rising costs and rising taxes. For the middle class, this Budget had one message. Carry on as you were. In Parliament, I pointed out that there was no revision... show more

Last time you promised us and now you have delivered Thank you for speaking up for the middle class when it’s most needed. 🙏 The reality is brutal salaries are stagnant, taxes are rising, and household costs are silently crushing families. No slab revision. Crypto taxation No relief in standard deduction. But inflation at 6.8% keeps eating incomes every single month. Education, healthcare, rent, food, transport everything is up,

Perks of being active on X. He understood his niche. At least somebody is talking about middle class problems.

Difference between an Educated Politician and an Illiterate One . While the Educated one will raise Serious Issues in Our Country, an Illiterate Politician will always try to DIVERT attention from those. He would ALWAYS do 56cm Chest Thumping (Fake), Divisive Politics, Hatemongering, Instagram/TikTok Reels which are ABSOLUTELY Useless.

“The middle class is being sandwiched" yes a very fair point, Mr. Chadha. But arguments wound sound much stronger when backed by action. Punjab is under your party’s rule… why not apply these reforms there first? Fix the issues & ease some costs, also maybe show real tax relief. Intent needs to be proven in reality, not just in talks in the Parliament. Am sure a proper working model will earn far more respect than repeated criticism !

Thanks for voicing us. again ! But, we're tired of this cycle of hope & despair. We the 2% population has carried the burden for too long. Let's end this once & forever. #AbolishIncomeTax Let us live the way majority population lives. #WhyIncomeTax

While Raghav Chadha is trying to make points that seem logical on face value, it is to be noted that excessive populism has tended to push state governments into a debt trap, as we have seen in the past. Raghav Chadha needs to introspect and come up with valid, practical solutions.

and Calling the budget anti middle class ignores reality tax reforms already happened, inflation is moderating, and capital spending is rising. Economy slogans se nahi, policy continuity se grow karti hai.

It finally feels like the salaried middle class has a representative in Parliament. While others are busy with grand promises for the rich or the poor, Raghav Chadha is the only one talking about how we’re being squeezed.

The message to the middle class is loud and clear: earn more, pay more, expect less. No tax relief. No slab revision

From being champion of those living in slums and "Freebies Class", you have started speaking about the tax paying, no benefits middle class again. That is because the ultra Socialist, Left Wing Politics and Policies of your mates like Kejriwal, Sisodia and Marlena have got exposed as hollow, self serving politics.

You must also raise the issue of #SchoolFees getting more and more unaffordable for middle class! People are sandwiched between EMIs of home loan/car , rents and every year increasing School fees

Middle class is a FKIN joke for these ministers. By now, every middle class person knows that.

Raghav bhai, Personal tax being greater than corporate tax is a feature of most economies. We are becoming a normal economy that way. Remember personal tax is a claim on an individual person's *revenue*, not their *profit*. In the limit, PIT will eventually be 8 to 9 times of corporate tax (assuming profit margin typically around 9 to 12%)

The middle class pays the most taxes, gets the least benefits, and carries the economy on its back. Rising costs + zero relief isn’t policy — it’s neglect.

Keep discussing such issues, people are taking notice - who talks sense and who talks garbage.

Raghav sir speech has real numbers. Let me decode them: Personal Income Tax collection (₹11L Cr) has now SURPASSED Corporate Tax (₹9.8L Cr). In 2012, corporates paid nearly 2x what individuals paid. Then corporate tax was cut from 30% → 22% in 2019. The middle class? No equivalent cut. Ever. Standard deduction stuck at ₹75K. Section 80C stuck at ₹1.5L since 2014. Tax slabs NOT indexed to inflation. Meanwhile: → Education inflation: 8% → Healthcare: 9% → Your salary hike: 5% (if lucky) You’re paying tax on inflated income while your real purchasing power falls. This is called “bracket creep” — and no one is addressing it. The middle class doesn’t need emotional speeches. It needs inflation-indexed tax slabs.

Very well pointed out the problem no body is even willing to hear.

Bhai Middle class relief sirf tax slab change se nhi hota. Lower tax rates already exist ab focus jobs, growth aur inflation control par h, tax abhi sept me hi to kam kiya tha, har saal kam thodi karenge.

I hate your party. But like you. More power 2u

i don't think i can afford to argue with what Raghav says Middle class is actually being sandwiched b/w rich class and poor class

Prices are going up, taxes are the same, salaries aren’t rising much. So people are saving less and struggling more. They’re not asking for freebies — just some tax relief or better savings options to manage rising costs.

One man army.....

@PMOIndia @narendramodi @FinMinIndia @nsitharamanoffc @nsitharaman @ankitatIIMA @sanjeevsanyal An Open Letter to Raghav Chaddha on “Middle Class” & Tax Narrative..how his speech misguiding 👇👇

You always win our hearts through the matter you raised within and outside the house. This is what the houses of democracies are known for. Very well performing your duty. Keep these things up.

Hope it reaches to the ears of our FM. Education & health Inflation is eating away the income. What is left is taken away by taxes. Survival is becoming difficult.

Budget 2026 slaps the middle class again with no slab change, no higher standard deduction and the same choking taxes even though personal income tax has overtaken corporate tax at ₹11 lakh crore against ₹9.8 lakh crore. Households are being squeezed by inflation on education, health and rent while Modi and Sitharaman keep milking salaries instead of easing their load.

Finally, someone speaking up for the most exploited minorities of the country.

Government can make corporates spend more in order to operate. But it won’t because they are they fund the elections . It boils down to character of the government machinery . That’s where citizens and opposition needs to come together and make there voice heard.

Thankyou sir

A Chartered accountant with good brain can bring up some commendable speech and ideas. Irrespective of Parties, government should bring these type of brains in Think team rather than bagrees. Also @raghav_chadha ji to get this respect stay away from likes of Sanjays and Kejrisz

India has 18% #GST on Private Coaching Institutions who are Creating Doctors Engineers CAs Professionals Not by Govt Schools or Colleges Burdening Parents Guardians Vs China Education Flat 3% Max 2. Commodity Steel Aluminium Copper Prices Doubled 18% GST is Rising Capital Cost
