My daughter often “read” to her new baby brother this way. She was a bit older so she could repeat the story and the inflections, but same idea. That let me know how much she liked being read to, even if she didn’t like to sit still sometimes.

This young lady lives at home with her parents and her growing brothers. They eat the parents out of house and home. What she doesn’t like is the parents are aware of it but they just can’t keep up financially so meal times are a first come first serve free for all. Because she’s older is it fair for her to let her growing brothers eat more or are they being inconsiderate and her parents need to intervene more and make sure their daughter eats also?

Do we believe her? This woman is using a fake ID to cash a $4k stolen check. The police confront her and she acts confused. Once she realizes the gig is up, her story starts to form. She claims some random people offered her money to cash the check. They gave her the check, the fake ID, and a ride. She was supposed to get a cut. But she doesn’t know who they are. Do we believe her story? She’s got a lot of problems in life, I’m guessing from making bad decisions like this. Parts 2 and 3 in comments below.

While her writing isn’t yet conventional, watch carefully and you’ll notice that every item her parents list gets its own special mark on her notepad. She has learned that print conveys meaning. Asked about the total bill, she explains - showing them the lengthy list of items she’s captured - that the check will be $100. It’s actually a reasonable estimate. She knows they’ve ordered quite a bit and chooses a large number to match. And throughout, watch how expertly she plays the role of waitress. The story is exactly as Lauren Southern told me years ago, her story never changed. She’s telling the truth about what Andrew Tate did to her. She’s telling the god damn truth and it sickens me to my core that she was not kept safe from predators by those in the so called movement. A naive young woman, in a pit of vipers, they chewed her up and spat her out. I feel a twinge of guilt that I wasn’t mature enough myself to warn or protect her. Disagree on politics or not, whether she still talks to me or not, the truth is the truth and I hope it sets her free.

It’s NEVER too soon to begin reading to your baby. ⏰ In fact, doing so while your little one is still in utero will begin familiarizing your soon-to-be newborn with the voices of the adults who will comprise their “circle of trust” after birth. Once your baby is born, reading together daily will expose them to rich vocabulary, concepts of print, and to establish reading as both important and pleasurable… all key to their early academic success. I got such a kick out of this little one. It’s clear not only that her parents read to her regularly, but do so with real enthusiasm and expression. What a great feeling it must be for them to watch her mimic their tender moments together. This emergent reader was shared to IG by kidsfam8.

Language has its own special genres. And your toddler is working to master them all. Not long ago, I shared a fantastic video example of a toddler engaged in a pretend phone call. He took conversational turns, laughed at his imaginary partner’s joke, and knew to end the call with a goodbye and pressing the “end call” button on his toy telephone. At less than 2 years old, he had the phone call genre down pat. Here’s another amazing example (shared to IG by walking_faith_4u): the bedtime story. Watch as this little one takes over “reading” duties - turning the tables on her adoring dad. I’ve shared lots of reading videos before, but this one is notable in its complexity. Listen as she uses variegated babbling (which combines a wide variety of syllables and sounds) to recount a lengthy story for dad. Listen as well to the tone and rhythm of her voice. It’s the same soft, flowy, and expressive style he uses to help calm her as she begins preparing to drift off to sleep post story. I’d say this little one has the “bedtime story” genre on lock. . Mark Meckler tells a very interesting story about how he was hunting with Charlie Kirk and the conversation they had about Candace Owens. And I mean, you can be the judge when you listen to the story but to me it’s very evident that everyone including Charlie who had the misfortune of having a personal relationship with her have had to manage her. Because if you don’t manage her, she will crush you. She will lie, steal, cheat, and destroy your reputation. It doesn’t matter if you have children or if you are a good person. Personally, when I saw her merchandise launch that said Shabot Shalom daddy’s home it was pretty clear who we are dealing with. Whenever I see anybody speak out against her, that knows her or that had any kind of relationship with her, I realize how brave they are because it’s much easier to be Megyn Kelly. It’s much harder to stand in the breach and take the incoming fire because you know it’s the right thing to do.
