A train journey is a lovely use for a 2.5D world. Little passenger routines at each stop could make the towns feel connected rather than just scenery.

floating towns with a train on a rail over the ocean is absolute cinema. 3d world with 2d characters is such a smart shortcut too

GPT 6 Astra is really something else when it comes to building games in 3D. It built out the rest of the world using Blender. It also rigged, animated and integrated a playable character. Running smooth entirely in browser - including reflections + rain. Using Wasm + WebGPU

Claude is actually better for usage + intelligence. Upcoming Opus 5.2 will shift focus back to Claude. OpenAI has gained traction and immediately backtracked by canceling new PRO plans. Astra is better in areas like 3D / Computer Use However the stronger model and service is with Claude. Running Fable 5.1 main orchestrator with Opus 5 / Astra workers is the meta.

GPT-6 Astra can already plan, code, and build. The more interesting question is what happens when it can call a dedicated 3D tool at the exact moment a project needs an asset. So we connected Hyper3D Rodin MCP and asked Astra to build an interactive Solar System Explorer. Astra handled the app logic and integration. When it needed 3D models, it called Hyper3D Rodin directly. Hyper3D Rodin generated the required assets, and Astra brought them back into the project and continued building from there. That is where the workflow gets useful. Instead of stopping to search for assets or creating them manually, Astra can keep moving while Hyper3D handles the specialized 3D generation, with more control over the output and assets that are easier to integrate into the final project. The result is a browser-based solar system where the generated 3D models are part of the actual experience, not just outputs sitting in a model viewer.

I started building a Warcraft III style game, inspired by the legendary Enfo's scenario. I'm using GPT-6 Astra to generate the 3D models, and the entire process has been pretty easy. I basically chose my tech stack and let Astra do its thing. Really curious to see where this ends up, and if it'll actually be playable. Follow me for updates. I'll be sharing the entire journey.

I asked Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6 Sol, Kimi K3 to build the Eiffel Tower in Three.js. Opus 5.5: $8.95 | 10 mins GPT-6 Astra: $7.45 | 8 mins GPT-6 Sol: $3.90 | 5 mins Kimi K3: $4.04 | 6 mins Opus 5.5 really impressed me. The frontend and 3D detailing are seriously good, and I preferred it over Astra for this task. GPT-6 Sol was a bit disappointing, while Kimi K3 looks really good for the price. It delivered a strong result at almost half the cost. Kimi K3.1 is going to be a monster for sure. Overall, Anthropic made a great comeback with Opus 5.5.

Yep. Astra is good. Even up close. This is NOT an Astra "model" - it used 3DAIStudio to generate image references and models with GPT Image 2 & Tripo P2. That P2 model came out quite bad, and it cleaned it up great & used Substance 3D Painter to give it a (overkill) grimy PBR

A 3d animated video showing Claude beating GPT-6 Astra and Gemini 4 Argon, one-shot with Fable 5.5 This is truly 3d video, Astra isnt even comparable, maybe visuals are okay with it, but the story, sound effects, and overall the feeling of a good, delivered story is a lot better, like two different worlds.

Astra built this from scratch on Bend2 and tbh I'm kinda speechless? for a context, Bend2 has no game engine, no 2d graphics, let alone 3d, not even FONTS. it is basically just a fast Python it wrote the ENTIRE ENGINE overnight and somehow it kicks ass at 120 FPS
