I have seen some desperate NPP propagandists share a video of the Upper West Regional Hospital, with the claim that it was started by Former President Kufour and completed by President Akufo-Addo. Although the history of the Upper West Regional Hospital is well-known and a matter of public record, it is important to set the records straight so that unsuspecting Ghanaians are not hoodwinked by this dubious propaganda. 1. The 160-bed Upper West Regional Hospital project was one of the nine (9) hospitals which were awarded to Euroget De Invest in the year 2010 by the Government of Ghana. 2. The project was conceptualized and initiated by the Kufour government as part of what is called “The Hospitals Project”. Euroget De Invest was engaged by the Government of Ghana to design and build 8 hospitals for the Ministry of Health and 1 hospital for the Ministry of Defense. 3. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Government of Ghana and Euroget De Invest for the nine (9) hospital projects in April 2008. 4. Cabinet gave approval for the Euroget hospital projects on 29th October 2008. 5. On 12th November, 2008, the Parliament of Ghana approved the loan for the Euroget hospital projects, an amount of $339 million dollars which was to be sourced from Egypt. The Kufour government was then voted out of office. See 6. The contracts for the projects were signed between the Mills government and Euroget in 2010. 7. On 31st July, 2010, then Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama cut the sod for the Upper West Regional Hospital. 8. However, construction of the project could not commence due to the inability of the company, Euroget De Invest to secure funding from Egypt. This undue delay was mainly occasioned by the Arab spring upheaval in Egypt. Thus, the Upper West regional hospital could not start on schedule due to lack of funds. See 9. Through the hard work of the Mills/Mahama government, approval was given to Euroget De Invest and funding was secured from a Barclays PLC- ABSA SA consortium to finance the project in August 2012. See 10. In November 2012, just before the elections, then running mate to Akufo-Addo, Alhaji Bawumia visited the project site with the media and mocked John Mahama and the NDC for deceiving the people of Upper West region. See 11. Actual construction began in 2014 under the Mahama/NDC government with funding from the Barclays-ABSA bank consortium. By the time John Mahama was leaving office, the project was about 95%. These facts are verifiable and indisputable. 13. It is true that the project has its roots in the Kufour government. It was in 2008, that the MoU and original loan agreement was signed and approved. However, the funding arrangement envisaged under the Kufour government didn’t materialize. The contracts were signed and the sod cut for the project by the Mills/Mahama government. More importantly, Funding was secured in August 2012 under the Mills/Mahama government. Construction began in 2014 under the Mahama government and was over 95% complete in 2016 before John Mahama left office. 14. The Upper West Regional hospital project should have been fully completed and commissioned latest by 2017 but was unduly delayed by President Akufo-Addo and commissioned in 2019. 15. While it is fair to give President Kuffuor the credit for conceptualizing and initiating the project, the chunk of the credit must go to the Mills/Mahama governments which worked with Euroget to secure funding for the project and supervised the construction of the project from ground zero to about 95% completion stage. 16. Akufo-Addo and Bawumia knows next to nothing about this project and contributed very little to its completion. SAMMY GYAMFI ESQ.

Our Hon. CM M.K.Stalin has already given a befitting reply to the blatant lie spoken by Hon. PM Narendra Modi yesterday that DMK stalled the Maduravoyal elevated corridor project. I as Additional Solicitor General of India argued for the National Highways Authority of India on behalf of the Union Government in this dispute, so let me state some facts for the benefit of PM Modi. ➡️Chennai Port–Maduravoyal Elevated Corridor was conceived, sanctioned, and launched during the DMK government in Tamil Nadu in coordination with the UPA Government at the union. ➡️June 2007 - project sanction ➡️March 7, 2008 - Government Order was issued ➡️January 2009 - Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh & Dr. Kalaignar as CM laid the foundation stone. ➡️Work commenced in 2010. Environmental clearance was obtained. ➡️By 2012, nearly 30% of the project had already been completed. Pillars had been erected. Construction was underway. 🚫What stopped it? 🍃In April 2012, after change in Government, AIADMK & J Jayalalithaa stalled the project citing lame concerns. A stop-work order was issued. ⚖️I appeared before the Hon’ble Madras High Court on behalf of NHAI and fought the case to quash the stop work order. In February 2014, the High Court quashed the stop-work order! The AIADMK Government filed an appeal and got a stay before the Hon. Supreme Court. They claimed that entire city of Chennai will be inundated because of the project! After 2014, the NDA government at the centre took no proper steps to get the stay vacated! 👉Only after Selvi J. Jayalithaa passed away on 05.12.2016, barely 4 days later, the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu wrote to the NHAI requesting to resume the project. By then the contractor had sued NHAI for delay, project cost had more than doubled. 🌄It was only after Chief Minister Thiru. M.K. Stalin assumed office in 2021 that a comprehensive redesign was undertaken and life was given to the project again. 🌄On 16 May 2022, an MoU was signed between the Tamil Nadu Government, NHAI, Chennai Port Authority, and the Indian Navy. 🛣️The project was redesigned as a 20.6 km double-decker elevated corridor at a revised cost of ₹5,885 crore. ❌Yesterday, the PM stood before the Tamil people and uttered a baseless lie that DMK stopped this project. 💹The PM should ask his alliance partners AIADMK to bear the loss to the Government and public exchequer – ₹ 4805 crore difference between original project cost of ₹ 1800 cr to current cost of ₹ 5885 cr! The scandal that puts Canadians in multigenerational debt: The Gordie Howe International Bridge project that will connect Detroit to Windsor was pitched as a billion dollar project in 2012 by the Harper government. The trouble is that the cost is now estimated to be around $7 billion dollars. However, studies suggest toll revenue will never be enough to recoup the cost, and with interest payments the bridge will likely require decades of taxpayer subsidies that could amount to $52 billion dollars. Here are the facts: 📌 There is an already existing bridge in the area called the Ambassador bridge which offered to build a second span for free. 📌 American government is not paying a dime for the project, and Canada is paying for all costs including the custom compound and the highway interchange on U.S. soil. 📌 In 2010 the government manufactured the DRIC report to justify the new bridge, it had gross miscalculations and inaccuracies in projecting the cross border traffic to increase over decades to come. 📌 Empirical data shows that cross border traffic has overall declined more than 50% in the area for last 2 decades, and there’s no reason for it to rebound. 📌 Studies demonstrate that even if the traffic stopped declining, and Gordie Howe were to charge 3 times more in toll than the ambassador bridge next door, and drivers were to prefer to chose paying more for some reason, taxpayers would still have to subsidize the bridge for at least 6 decades. 📌 The procurement process was shady as transparency and fairness letters were issued 1 day before the awarding. 📌 AECON dropped out of the bidding process the last business day, and then was allowed back in to join the winning consortium for reasons unknown. 📌 The construction giants that bid against each other in this project are actively working together on other multi billion dollar P3 projects across Canada while bidding against each other in other projects. 📌 Amarjeet Sohi was the infrastructure minister at the time whose brother’s trucking company that he did not disclose was already doing business with VINCI in the federally funded Regina bypass project. Navdeep Bains blocked AECON’s sale to China, and Sohi allowed AECON to join back into this dream project for some reason. Bains was also giving sole sourced contracts to Sohi’s brother’s trucking company. 📌 WDBA says they expect to finish off paying the bridge in 30 years by collecting toll revenue, and then start splitting the revenues with the state of Michigan. But given that toll revenue alone will not even be enough to pay the hundreds of millions of dollars in annual interest, the Michigan taxpayers might be asked to pay for the bridge to make up for the shortfalls in toll revenue. 📌 Canadian politicians both liberal and conservative have put Canadians in multigenerational debt by actively participating with nefarious construction giants. 📌 Allegations of bid-rigging are worrisome as corrupt companies like SNC-Lavalin participated in the bidding while they were under a 10-year ban by the World Bank for committing corruption in the poorest countries of the world. 📌ACS which the project was awarded to also have a history of corruption around the world. 📌 VINCI which partnered up with SNC on the GHIB project was already working with Sohi’s brother’s trucking company on the Regina bypass project. This is how an unnecessary bridge that was pitched as a billion dollar project ended up costing $7 billion dollars, and will require tens of billions of dollars in subsidies to make up for the shortfall in toll revenue. Only Amarjert Sohi and his nefarious nexus Including domestic and foreign construction giants will benefit at the cost of Canadian and U.S. taxpayers. I asked a legal scholar who’s considered to be the leading authority on extradition law if these Canadian politicians could be extradited to U.S. Check out the comment section to watch my full report.

A Historic Milestone for Maharashtra’s Growth: Inauguration of Navi Mumbai International Airport ✈️ A moment of immense pride for Maharashtra as the Navi Mumbai International Airport was inaugurated today at the hands of Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, the dream we envisioned a decade ago has now turned into reality. The airport stands as a symbol of Nava Bharat, of progress, resilience, and renewed ambition. Conceived in the 1990s, this project had remained stalled for years. Once PM Modi Ji’s government took office, it was fast-tracked under the PRAGATI portal, and in its very first meeting, all eight pending NOCs were approved, paving the way for this world-class engineering marvel capable of handling 9 crore passengers annually. This airport will play a pivotal role in Maharashtra’s and India’s growth, with the potential to boost the state’s GDP by 1%. Alongside, the inauguration of Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Phase 2B), from Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade, marks another proud achievement. This largest underground metro in India, developed with support from the Government of Japan and JICA, will significantly enhance Mumbai’s connectivity. In line with PM Modi Ji’s vision for integrated and seamless transport, the ‘Mumbai One’ app was also launched today. This unified platform enables commuters to travel across Metro, Monorail, Bus, Suburban Rail, and Water Taxi networks with a single ticket, transforming mobility across Mumbai. #MYMODISTORY PM Narendra Modi ji has always inspired people to look beyond themselves and work for a larger cause. His conversations often plant seeds of ideas that grow into something impactful and lasting. When I won my first Grammy Award in 2015, one year after he became the Prime Minister, I wished to meet him. Soon after, I received a call from his office and my wish came true. I expected the meeting to last only a few minutes with some photographs. To my surprise, it became an hour-long discussion. During our conversation, we discovered our shared passion for protecting the environment and conserving every species. PM Modi ji spoke about his upcoming visit to COP21, the Paris Climate Change Conference. He shared his thoughts about the issues he would raise there, including the International Solar Alliance. As we exchanged ideas, we thought of creating an album that would present India’s perspective on climate change. The vision was to involve musicians from across the world and make it diverse and inclusive. This inspired me to create Shanti Samsara, an album featuring 500 musicians from 40 countries. Narendra Modi ji encouraged the project and gave it a global stage. He launched the album at COP21 in Paris by gifting it to the then President of France François Hollande and the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon. For me, it was more than music. It was about carrying forward a vision that the Prime Minister had sparked, using art as a voice for the planet. Modi Story

Maharashtra on the Move: From Ports to Prosperity! Inaugurated the ‘Maharashtra Maritime Summit 2025’ with a deep sense of purpose, to transform our maritime strength into a powerful engine of growth for Maharashtra and India. The sea is not just a boundary, it has always been a bridge to opportunity and prosperity. That belief anchors Maharashtra's Maritime Summit, where today’s deliberations focus on how our maritime strength can fuel growth, improve connectivity, and place India at the forefront of global trade. Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji has always envisioned a port-led economy. His vision is reflected in the 'India Maritime Vision 2030' and 'India Amrit Kaal Maritime Vision 2047'. Inspired by this, Maharashtra is shaping a bold maritime roadmap, rooted in a coastline rich with legacy, especially across Mumbai and Konkan. Mumbai is said to be India’s economic, commercial, entertainment, and financial capital. But what truly made it the economic engine and powerhouse are its two crucial pillars—Mumbai Port and JNPA Port. These ports played a foundational role in shaping Mumbai’s position. To lead in global trade, scale, speed, and seamless connectivity are essential. Vadhvan Port marks a major leap forward. With the Government of India as the major partner and Maharashtra holding a 26% share, development is progressing rapidly. Port connectivity is being transformed through expressways, access-controlled roads, and stronger last-mile infrastructure, ensuring faster cargo movement across the State. The Sagarmala project, envisioned and driven by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, has given a significant push to expanding rail networks and enabling multi-modal access, with strong support from the Central Government through major infrastructure investments. Near Vadhvan, India’s first offshore airport will soon give us a seamless sea-air cargo hub. Our broader vision includes shipbuilding, ship recycling, and a strong push for water transport, especially in Mumbai and the MMR region—to not just boost trade, but also improve ease of living. Waterways remain the most affordable and sustainable mode of transport. As India works to reduce logistics costs and enhance competitiveness, the role of waterways in driving future growth will be pivotal. India is on track to become the world’s third largest economy. The climb to second and first will be challenging, but the path has been clearly laid out by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, and Maharashtra is fully committed to leading the way. All ideas and recommendations emerging from this summit will be studied closely and every meaningful insight will contribute to shaping Maharashtra’s maritime policy, one that lifts the State and the Nation towards true maritime leadership. Minister Nitesh Rane and other dignitaries were present. Narendra Modi Nitesh Rane #Maharashtra #MaritimeSummit2025 #Mumbai

Jewel of the Desert is in the service of the nation! Deeply privileged to witness the inauguration of India’s first standalone greenfield refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in nearly a decade by PM Sh Narendra Modi Ji. One of the largest single-location industrial investments built at a cost of ₹79,459 cr with energy Maharatna Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (74%) and Government of Rajasthan (26%) as equity partners, the state-of-the-art complex in Pachpadra, Rajasthan is built as unified project with 9 MMTPA refining and 2.4 MMTPA petrochemical capacity. The refinery will produce about 26% of petchem products from the very beginning. It has a Nelson Complexity Index of 17 & is highly energy efficient. It will have worlds’ largest Polypropylene Unit & Polyethylene swing unit to make more than 30 different polymer grades. The magnitude and scale of the refinery, which will have Asia’s largest ever Coker unit with 125 mtr diameter & 64 mtr height, can be gauged from the following facts: >150 lakh cubic mtr earth moved - 6 times the volume of the great pyramid of Giza! >16 lakh mtr cube of concrete- 5 times the concrete used in Burj Khalifa! >6 lakh tonne structural steel - 40 times the steel used in Eiffel Tower! HPCL’s integrated Refinery cum Petchem complex will be a source of joy, progress, development, prosperity & employment for Barmer & people of Rajasthan. Firmly rooted in PM Modi Ji’s vision of Make in India, it is one of the biggest projects in the oil sector in India, and will further accelerate our journey towards energy self-sufficiency. PM Modi Ji also laid the foundation and dedicated development projects worth over ₹1.06 lakh crore for the people of Rajasthan. Palghar is becoming Maharashtra's next growth engine. This district is not just a part of Maharashtra's growth story. It is the chapter that will define it. Under the visionary leadership of Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, projects that once seemed distant possibilities are today taking concrete shape. Reviewed key aspects of the proposed Vadhavan Port at Chinchani Beach, including internal road network, forest clearances, power supply, rail connectivity, land acquisition, water supply, skill development and compensation for fishermen. Spread over 1,448 hectares with an estimated cost of ₹76,220 crore, this greenfield port will handle next-generation vessels with a 20-metre deep draft, making it capable of berthing the world's largest ships, something no Indian port can offer today. At three times the capacity of JNPA, it will rank among the world's top 10 ports and is expected to generate 10 lakh jobs. What matters equally to me is how we build this. Through open dialogue, fair rehabilitation, ITI upgradation, skill training and a dedicated fisheries institute, we are committed to ensuring that the people of this land, our tribal communities, our fishermen, our youth, are not just witnesses to this progress but its primary beneficiaries. Also inspected the ongoing construction work and reviewed the project layout of the Boisar Station under the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project. Work is progressing well and officials have been instructed to maintain pace and quality within the decided timelines. Once operational, Boisar will connect to BKC in under thirty minutes, opening up this entire region economically. This is a project that will genuinely change the character of Palghar. Also reviewed the site of the proposed offshore Airport in Palghar district, which is going to be India's first offshore airport. This project adds a critical third dimension to this connectivity picture. Situated in proximity to the Dedicated Freight Corridor, the Bullet Train, the Uttan-Virar Sea Link, the Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway and the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway, it will significantly improve connectivity while easing the growing passenger load on Mumbai Airport. The pre-feasibility report has confirmed the site as viable and the DPR has been ordered today. Also discussed the MMRDA-developed Narangi Creek Bridge, a ₹850 crore, 4.10 km project that will directly connect Vasai-Virar with Saphale, Palghar and Boisar, reducing travel distance by nearly 40 km and travel time by around 45 minutes. Also held detailed discussions on the Uttan-Virar Sea Link, a proposed six-lane project worth approximately ₹58,754 crore that once complete will directly connect to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway, making travel between South Mumbai and Ahmedabad faster, safer and more convenient. Inspected the construction and reviewed progress on the Vadodara-Mumbai section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, one of India's most ambitious infrastructure undertakings. A defining feature of this 8-lane greenfield corridor is its direct connectivity to JNPA, enabling faster, more efficient and cost-effective freight movement from North India and giving a major boost to the country's logistics chain. It will also offer a reliable alternative to the congested Thane-Bhiwandi-Ghodbunder routes, with travel time between Vadodara and Mumbai set to reduce from 8 hours to approximately 4 once complete. Vadhavan Port, Bullet Train, Offshore Airport, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Uttan-Virar Sea Link, Narangi Creek Bridge, Virar-Alibaug Corridor. Each project is significant on its own. Together, they are building the Fourth Mumbai, a new economic centre of gravity rising in Palghar, under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the resolve of a government that has cleared decades of stalled decisions. Palghar is emerging as a major growth engine for Maharashtra, opening new opportunities in ports, transport, industry, exports and employment. This is the Maharashtra we are building, and Palghar is leading the way. Minister Ganesh Naik ji, Minister Nitesh Rane, MP Dr Hemant Savara, MLA Rajendra Gavit and senior officials were present. 🙏 जय महाराष्ट्र Ganesh Naik Nitesh Rane Dr. Hemant Savara Mp Rajendra Gavit Official #Maharashtra #Palghar #InfrastructureDevelopment

WAQF (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2024 My Enthusiasm: The British enacted the Mussalman Wakf Act, 1923 for the better management of wakf property and for ensuring the keeping and publication of proper accounts in respect of such properties. After independence, the Waqf Act, 1954 was enacted but the earlier Act was not repealed. In 1995 a new Waqf Act was enacted repealing the 1954 Act. There was not any significant difference between the Acts of 1954 and 1995, as the latter was essentially a consolidation of several State amendments and judicial pronouncements. In March 2005 the UPA Government headed by Manmohan Singh appointed a seven-member high-level committee which was headed by Rajinder Sachar, a former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, with Sayyid Hamid, M.A. Basith, Akhtar Majeed, Abu Saleh Shariff, T.K. Oommen and Rakesh Basant as its members. It is popularly known as the Sachar Committee. Based on one of the recommendations of the Sachar Committee, the UPA Government introduced the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2013 to amend the Waqf Act, 1995. It must be noted that the BJP enthusiastically supported the Bill and voted for it in Parliament. Consequent to the amendment, the Waqf Act became one most of draconian laws that India has ever enacted whereby any property can be unilaterally claimed by Muslims as waqf, and its owners can be disposed of it. It has been widely reported that the Muslims have been claiming villages after villages as wakf properties and thereby creating havoc. Therefore, the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 introduced in Parliament by the RSS-BJP-Modi Government is a welcome step, and I wholeheartedly endorse it. The Bill has since been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee headed by former CM of UP Jagadambika Pal. I sincerely hope and wish that it becomes an Act sooner than later. My Skepticism: A large number of Hindu refugees from Pakistan and Bangladesh who escaped to ‘Hindu India’ and their progeny, are not only HINOs (Hindus In name Only) but they are virulently Anti-Hindu and Pro-Muslim. They are worse than the Islamic Jihadis as they camouflage as Hindus while working for Islam. Rajinder Sachar’s family too came from West Pakistan to ‘Hindu India’ to escape religious persecution by Muslims. Yet, his ideological proclivities were mostly Anti-Hindu and Pro-Muslim. Therefore, it would be apt to categorise him as a Crypto-Muslim. Sachar Committee submitted its Pro-Muslim, nay Anti-Hindu, Report in November, 2016. Its reading would reveal that the demands of the Muslim League prior to independence that led to partition of India, would pale before the recommendations of Sachar Committee. It is not an exaggeration to say that the Sachar Committee has planted seeds for the 2nd partition of India, nay fast-tracking of Islamisation of India. Out of 76 recommendations of Sachar Committee, the Government accepted 72, rejected 3 and deferred 1. Most State Governments, including all the RSS-BJP State Governments as well as the Gujarat State Government headed by Narendra Modi as CM, have vigorously implemented and been implementing the Sachar Committee recommendations since 2017 onwards. Yet, the RSS-BJP never missed an opportunity to publicly criticise the Sachar Committee Report to fool gullible Hindus. After 6 years of vigorous implementation of the recommendations of Sachar Committee and favouring Muslims as their daamads (sons-in-law) in every which way by (mis)using secular public funds, and just before General Elections to Lok Sabha which were due in 2014, in August 2013 the Narendra Modi headed Gujarat State Government challenged its constitutional validity in Supreme Court again to fool gullible Hindus. The RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government has been implementing the Sachar Committee Report with the fervour of a new convert to Islam. Consequently, #Minority_Appeasement in the past 10 years of RSS-BJP-Modi rule has reached Himalayan heights putting all other parties to shame. Further, in the past 10 years, with the zeal of a Jihadi the RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government has been vigorously enforcing the draconian provisions of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2013 which were incorporated into the Waqf Act, 1995 with the proactive support of BJP in Parliament👇. As a result, the number of immovable properties held/claimed by the Waqf Boards skyrocketed to humongous 8.7 lakhs. A Google search says that Waqf Boards are the 3rd largest land holders in India after the Government and the Christian Church. The credit for this notoriety goes entirely to the #PseudoHindutva RSS-BJP-Modi. With a lot of pomposity the RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government introduced the Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in Parliament on 20-12-2021. I welcomed it except for the proposal to increase age of marriage. It was referred to a Select Committee headed by Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, and it is not known whether it gave any report. However, due to Muslim pressure the RSS-BJP-Modi deliberately delayed its passing as a result the Bill lapsed due to the dissolution of 17th Lok Sabha. Thus they gave a quiet burial to an important Bill that sought to reform marriage of all religious communities which would have a bearing on the differential growth rates of population. Given the unsavoury background and the Pro-Muslim and Anti-Hindu penchants of the RSS-BJP-Modi, I do not see much hope of the Wakf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 becoming a law. If it does become a law, then all praise to RSS-BJP-Modi. #WaqfAmendmentBill_2024 #WaqfBill2024

Infrastructure, Investment, and Water Conservation – Maharashtra on the Rise!✨ It was an overwhelming moment to be at 'TiEcon Mumbai 2025: India’s Leading Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit' in Mumbai, today. Humbled to receive the 'TiE Mumbai Hall of Fame' award at the hands of the legendary, Infosys founder Narayana Murthy ji. This award is a proud recognition of the governance model we embarked on in 2014 under the visionary leadership of our Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji. Receiving this award today is not just an honour but a realization that our efforts are making a real difference and that we are on the right path together. All these transformative infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai and MMR—be it the Coastal Road, Atal Setu, Metro Network, or the Vadhavan Project—have become a reality because of our governance, which turned aspirations into achievements. Every project has been backed by thorough study and dedicated efforts, and under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, we have worked relentlessly to make them happen. Today, these ongoing projects are set to boost the State’s growth significantly. The 4th Mumbai will be created in the area of Vadhavan which will emerge as a dynamic new city, driving massive GDP growth and creating a thriving business ecosystem. In just 5 years, we planned and initiated 372 Km of metro, out of which 150 Km is now delivered. With each passing year, we will continue expanding and delivering more, ensuring a stronger and more connected Maharashtra. Being recognized for water conservation is a significant achievement. In 2014, 14 schemes were executed by 6 different departments. We streamlined them into one scheme, one leader, and one department, launching the ambitious 'Jalyukt Shivar' initiative. Our goal was to make 25,000 villages drought-free, and the Marathwada region saw a significant rise in water levels. In the 2020 Government of India's Groundwater Report, Maharashtra was the only state to show improvement compared to others. This award also recognizes investments, and once again, Maharashtra has become the top destination for FDI. This year, we have broken all previous records—surpassing our own ₹31,000 crore investment milestone from 2016-17. In just 9 months, we have secured ₹1.39 lakh crore in investments, with 50% of the country's FDI flowing into Maharashtra. Today, Maharashtra stands as the new startup capital of India. We are dedicated to reviving Mumbai’s glory and propelling Maharashtra to unmatched greatness! On this occasion, the Founding President of TiE Mumbai Harish Mehta, Uday Mohan, TiE Mumbai President Ranu Vohra and other dignitaries were present. In the wee hours of the morning of 19th Jan 2026 in the chilly weather of Rabat, I kept turning in my bed accepting that; Despite achieving a multitude of historic milestones as the President of FUFA None of them makes me as emotional as realizing my childhood dream. The first AFCON I watched was 1992 and was supporting Senegal 🇸🇳 the hosts because of Jules Bocande (RIP). I then asked why was Uganda not in the competition and everyone laughed at me. I said one day we shall play while hosting that AFCON and the laughter was even louder. Uganda had missed 7 previous editions without any infrastructure to host I watched each yet helplessly Uganda fail to qualify for the next 7 editions (1994-2004). As part of the administration Uganda further painfully missed the next 5 editions (2006-2013) As FUFA President, Uganda missed the 1 edition (2015) and finally cracked the code for 2017. Now Uganda will be at 4 editions in 10 years in 2027 Now taking Uganda 🇺🇬 to AFCON after 40 years of failing is great but bringing AFCON to Uganda is not just historic but realizing a childhood dream by participating not observing Now we must not only qualify but compete at AFCON Thank you Government of Uganda Government of Kenya Tanzania Government Football Kenya Federation TFF TANZANIA FUFA CAF for believing in this project Welcome the World, Welcome Africa to East Africa in general and to our motherland Uganda in particular Karibuni Africa Masharik Pamoja ni uwezo Allah Akbar
