Attack on t... nevermind... #gamedev #indiedev

Add a marriage route.

She is just silly little wifey. What a wholesome game.

She is and thanks you!

Me:

Similar, but you'll need gold coins instead of fish.🤣

Dude, nobody will want attack her if she acts that adorable.

That's the whole point of this character: to deceive, and it works. This character is basically created to harm you, but still make you come back for more.😂

If you think my project is worthy of support, you're more than welcome to donate to my Kofi, but sharing and appreciating it is enough, thanks you!

I want more giant ladies like this please and thank you

That's something I'll have to think about; if there's too much of it, it loses its specialness and becomes commonplace. Something is more valuable when it's unique and rare.

That's totally fair. I'm just very basic xD

I understand your preferences, too. Don't worry, I'll make sure everything is perfect.

too cute, wouldn't attack :(

Yeah... she's cute, but eventually everyone will hate adoring her 😅

I can fix

God bless indie devs and fuck greedy corporations with no soul

@macacopaulistaa Ironically, this character, "Dokka", whom you see in the video, is the representation of "Greed". She is supposed to have her own shop and all her methods are satires about modern greed but in medieval times.😂

Just be careful with the cancel culture militants, many have been targeting games like yours. Especially if you're considering adding jiggle physics to your characters—we all saw the tragic harassment that the developers of Autonomica (formerly Farm Folks) went through.

@macacopaulistaa Oh!, Don't worry about it.

Is there an attack move that gives symphathetic headpat?

I plan to give the player (who isn't in this video), without promising it, the possibility of trying to pet her when she's at her normal size, although perhaps at the cost of some fingers... but it's up to whoever wants to try.

worth it

She’s doing her best okay

In her defense, her giant appearance isn't normal; she can shapeshift, but it must be difficult to move with different bodies.🤔

I’ve always wanted to see more games like The Horde 1994. Building up a village you protect in phases. Your idea looks awesome for that!

The general idea is a game like "Majesty." Where the NPCs move of their own volition, the player manages this small outpost to trade with and assist these NPCs. This place can be attacked and must be defended. The knight you see is a member of the player's militia.

Wait so it's like kenshi combat ? Or does the player actually have to fight

The crux of the Majesty games is that you have your own buildings that you have some soldiers defending per default, but they defend automatically if building is attacked. For actually attacking enemies outside the base, you would set up an adventurer's guild and give them contracts to complete for you in exchange for gold.

@sixthorns It's more of rts and less of an action strategy, I see

@PLionhead Exactly, it's basically that concept, in my case I decided to add "Militia", under more direct control, usually in Majesty your hands are tied when you want to defend something specific, here they are categorized between direct control and indirect control.

Any plans on adding non humanoid monster/animals/creatures? Or it's more focused on those cool acrobatic fights with people? And less with other silly beings?

There will be a good number of non-humanoid or semi-humanoid creatures, including natural wildlife.

Is there a way to feed her, pet her, make her happy and pamper her? if not, I'm not interested.

Is she hostile if the knight didn't attack?

The answer is much more complex, but basically not in this situation.

Should have just waved hello. 👋😂

The entire psychology behind this character is deception; she can shapeshift and appear or disappear at will. She's quite mischievous and a bully. The kind of character you hate, but miss when she's not around.

She totally deserved to trip and fall down then. 😂

Haha, of course, she's the "cat personality", an adorable creature, but one who always deceives you.

The faceplant at the end, very nice.

Since I'm the only one who knows the truth about the character, I can say: "she's earned it"

A stomp attack from a big lady?? 👀 I'm never dodging that one 😌

That's why she always wins; her entire personality makes others willingly do her bidding.

can you add an option where you give her a bundle of flowers

She probably prefers the vase if it's worth some gold.

shes worth the gold

That's good because it's the first thing she tries to get from all the characters. She has the mentality of Mr. Crab 😂

CUTE !

Do we have the option to befriend them? Wait, is this a combat rpg?

It's possible; she's one of the many NPCs. Imagine the first camp in any RPG, like Diablo or PoE. Well, the player is that place and controls it. The NPCs are the players here; they'll level up, equip, eat, and live. You'll have to give them the tools and shelter, if you wish.

So players would be able to "recruit" them and "house" them. Would there be like village building something (idk what to call it) stuff? I haven't played PoE or Diablo tho, (Dota took my childhood) so I don't have an idea. Anyway, keep up the good work. I'm loving your game.

you are basically the administrator of a border outpost, many adventurers, merchants and hostile creatures will pass through it, This site is unexplored and therefore dangerous, NPCs will be helpful if you help them grow stronger; otherwise, you will depend solely on your militia

Rooting for you and your game. I love it.

Yaaaa!!! 💪💪💪

women are getting bigger

Nani?! >.>

How long did it take for you to get this proficent at game dev? It looks so good and has tons of potential. I’ve always been curious as the best way to learn.

I'm the worst possible example, I wasted a lot of time, and I don't have any degree, I learned that what's important is experimenting with ideas, is valuable; you can create something that no one else knows how. because nobody invented it "but you"

Why attack!? She looks friend-shaped!

save some particle budget for the rest of us

Don't worry, everything is optimized even for mobile, although it's probably no longer the intention to release it for one, but my optimization standard still considers this a requirement.

If he loses Is just skill issue

Is being giant an ability of a playable character?

They are all NPCs, even the little knight; some of them can be commanded if they so wish, but she in particular is the most independent character of all, yet she is a very curious creature. Depending on how you interact with them, they may or may not be helpful.

There's no way to befriend her right?

She will never be explicitly an ally or an enemy; even if you attack her, she doesn't hold a grudge like other NPCs. Because she exists among gods and mortals, but for her own reasons, one could say that deep down. "she is the true player not even the player itself."

The algorithm has blessed me i shall follow your career with great interest

I guess the algorithm works sometimes; I'm glad you found my project entertaining!

Will it be available on Itch(.)io to download and play?

Someday, someday, if everything goes well and doesn't get complicated as usual. It largely depends on how much support and visibility I have, as always, I'll work the same way, only it might be slower or faster.

Well, anyway, I'll follow you here for now to see the next updates.

Thanks, anyway, I'll announce it publicly when a demo is available.

Seems very neat! I will follow your endeavours and wish you the best of luck with your project

Thank you! I will try my best.

ima keep my eye on u man, im curious about this game i like the artwork & animations so far they please my simple mind.
