Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi: With regard to China, it is the consistent policy of the Takaichi Cabinet to comprehensively advance a mutually beneficial strategic relationship and to build a constructive and stable partnership. Today, whether China and the US can together fulfill our responsibility for world peace and development bears on the well-being of both our peoples and the future of humanity. Many have said that the differences and divisions in our world are too great for us to come together for the common good. But the Summit of the Future showed that with a spirit of dialogue and compromise, we can join forces to steer our world to a more sustainable path. As this year’s #UNGA activities wind down, we must remember that this is not the end. It is in all our interests to choose the future we want and to guide our world towards it. The journey continues. Let’s keep going.
