How do you monitor the readings from the engine like RPM, temperature, Torque, Fuel gauge etc?

I won't lie, not having an assistant during this test make you look funny doing it alone. I suggest you channel your investment into this project towards gadget for measuring the different parameters of this engine. An infrared thermometer is a good start.

Good news on the jet engine project ✅: I redesigned the exhaust system again to prioritize cooling, thrust & the afterburner sequence all together, it now works better✅, no red hot situation on the exhaust at all✅ The new design also reduces pressure on the turbine on AB mode✅ This test was done with gas for the main engine running at 50% power, then liquid kerosene for the AB🔥. I wish to change the fuel nozzles on the main burner to a more powerful one next week, then we'll do this test again close to 100% power which will be louder & much more violent ⚡️ After that, we'll go straight to a runway & let this beast run🚀 #Zedora #madeinEbonyi 🇳🇬

Taxi test on the Jet engine ⚡️: The engine runs so cool❄️ (EGT 680-800*C) except on prolonged afterburner🔥 use which takes EGT to about 1000*C⚠️ We switched to testing Diesel as fuel & honestly I think I prefer Diesel to kerosene 🤔. Maybe I'll test actual Jet-A1 too Afterburner🔥 mode wanted to send the test bed flying, so we had to abort that and run the taxi test on normal mode at 40-50% throttle. Thrust levels are really excellent, I just wonder how fast this will be at full power plus full afterburner 🔥. We literally built an air breathing rocket engine 🤣. Honestly, I am happy again, the breakdown of this project for weeks took my joy away, I was always sad and down, but hell bent on solving the problems. Ceramic Coating test 1 result ⚠️: We ran this test at mild 50% power with gas only and no afterburner ❌... At this level, It's not as loud & powerful as kero so I didn't really need the earmuffs 🙏🏻 1. The ceramic Coating failed completely at the elbow joint from the combustion chamber to the turbine section❌ 2. The ceramic coating held up very well on the combustion chamber and turbo housing✅ 3. The ceramic Coating Partially held up on the exhaust liner, forming a hard crusty layer, although this may peel off in Afterburner mode as temperatures rise to over 1000 degrees⚠️ Tomorrow, we will be running the engine at full power with kerosene and afterburner 🔥.. I also noticed that the ignition coil when activated generates electromagnetic pulses that cause glitches in the brainbox 🥲, this will be looked into asap so it doesn't affect communication on a runway. Summary : The ceramic Coating is not really ideal for the exhaust liner, but can work well in regions having temperatures less than 500 degrees Celsius✅, anything above that and it will stark chalking and peeling off❌. We'll explore more materials for coating the exhaust liner after test 2 results⚡️ #Zedora

I got back from the hospital and asked the boys to get ready to fire up the jet engine🔥 I am super fired up as well, you can see the performance resulting from the last design upgrades, we finally have BLUE Afterburner flames, showing tremendous increase in power and thrust, the grasses along the exhaust path in the uncompleted building turned brown after this test, my welder was so happy he started taking selfies close to the engine. I can't imagine what this beast will do on a runway and for ndi 'aesthetics🤣, I don't believe u expect me to test a freaking jet engine at Transcorp Hilton do u?😂 No worries, Soon we will move to our advanced facility already in the works ✅ We are back 🚀 #Zedora

Burn test on the Jet engine prototype 🔥 : ⚠️apologies for skipping my PPE🥲, I was just moved by heavy enthusiasm. My modifications have made the engine even more powerful, see the supersonic exhaust gas flow even without the AFTERBURNER 👀🔥, once it's starts to overcharge I ask my brother to shutdown fuel supply (Engr. Idam my assistant wasn't available), the increase in power also resulted in an increase in temperature, as u can see the materials used to build the engine are being stressed to their metallurgical limits quickly🛠. Equipment to measure all the metrics accurately are still on the way, I will still need to work on the design, especially to enhance cooling on the engine while I work on getting more advanced thermally stable materials to upgrade the system for long operating times. The greatest test video so far🔥: Guys Make sure you retweet this 🙏🏻 The engine sent the test bed flying & I had to stop it b4 it crashes into the fence😂, subsequently brushing me down, imagine the force it took to brush me, fully loaded with fuel, the test bed weighs about 48KG⚠️. The control systems are yet to arrive, soon we will control the test bed remotely 😅. This was not even full power, imagine I activated the afterburner, this thing might do up to 200+ km per hour o👀👀👀. We need a runway for a full power test🤧. I will be applying to the government of Ebonyi State for permission to use a runway at the state airport for full power tests on the project, it has grown beyond my compound 🙏🏻. Impromptu test on the Mark3 turbojet engine😎😂: The Ear Muffs are arriving next week, but again, I couldn't hold back but to run the engine at mild power today😂. I am probably the first person in Nigeria 🇳🇬 & probably all of Africa to build a self sustaining turbojet engine 🔥🤔, please correct me if I am wrong tho🙏🏻, but I doubt. Incase u don't know what a turbojet engine is, it is the engine that powers most fighter jets🚀. The engine is self sustaining because once it gets to idle speed, it runs at about 35,000 RPM on its own without the starter motor & batteries, and can only be shut down if the fuel supply is shut off, as demonstrated by my assistant in the clips. We will do a full power test with the afterburner next week when the ear Muffs arrive😎, so we don't go deaf🤣😂. Here we go guys✅🚀 The jet engine survived the stress test✅ We pushed the engine to full power(100% throttle and 100% Afterburner) for about 12 minutes nonstop. It was critically loud, violent and powerful 🔥 My neighbor's police orderly said whenever they hear a very loud sound they know I'm back in town🤣 After the stress test the jet turbine blades still looked brand new✅, this means the exhaust design is near perfect ✅ The Exhaust Gas Temperature never exceeded 860 degrees Celsius even on afterburner mode✅, although the flame shooting out is over a thousand degrees Celsius ⚠️ For the first time, I saw some blue AB flames which looked cool🥶 On standard operation, the jet engine can now run for hours nonstop as long as there's fuel✅ The Afterburner mode pushes the engine power further, tho we have to limit it's duration due to the nature of the exhaust material currently being used. Jet engine Thrust test✅🔥🚀: Finally we have the data we need, at 100% throttle alone, the engine generated thrust of 7.2KG to 7.8KG (76.5 Newtons) At 100% throttle plus Afterburner it soared to 14KG to 16KG, I saw it peak at 18KG, but we'll take the average at 16KG thrust (157 Newtons) For this scale & build, I am a bit satisfied with the performance, although if I ditch the cooling design on the exhaust the thrust will increase significantly, but the exhaust will glow red hot, so we had to trade some thrust for better cooling for the engine. All the same, I am satisfied with the engine performance at this scale. I look forward to our runway tests⚡️ #Zedora #madeinEbonyi #madeinNigeria 🇳🇬

Today's jet taxi test🔥: Another great video, retweet for ur neighbors to see our progress✊🏻. We allowed the beast move again today, but at a mild 40% power. Some of the control & monitoring components have started arriving; I was able to measure the temperature of the exhaust gas flow with an EGT meter today✅, it peaked at 804 degrees Celsius 👀🔥, that would melt Aluminum⚡️. I also strapped a long chain on the test bed to help me stop it from crashing 😂. Like I said, this beast weighs about 50kg, I wouldn't want to hold it while running close to full power. #Zedora #madeinEbonyi #madeinNigeria 🇳🇬

Our little taxi test on the new build✅ I must admit I am very happy today, the acceleration was indeed a sight to behold, now imagine the top speed on the runway. we took data from the last runway tests & implemented many changes, the entire frame now weighs about 50kg It can be lighter, but I'm working with the resources & materials available to me The tyres are more balanced, aligned & stable The engine ran at 94,000 rpm at full throttle and still has extra 16,000rpm to deliver if I want, meaning more power, although it's danger limit is going above that. The wings currently have relatively flat aerofoil due to complexities in aluminum metal fabrication and weight management. I am still having issues with the Afterburner system, it's difficult to start and often gets blown off when the engine nears full throttle, I will review the sequence design again and make sure we harness the full power of the Afterburner. The bad news is, the driving motor shaft developed a critical fault & therefore we could not reach high speeds for the engine to self sustain to idle as before🤦🏻‍♂️, the shaft eventually broke off as shown in the video❌. The good news is, our afterburner sequence works✅✅ even below self sustaining speeds, I decided to activate it at this low power level & it worked 🔥, although at full power it would be more violent & streamlined in nature, the sun's glare also made the flames less visible. We will fix the motor damage & try full power testing again next week 🙌🏻. I am not giving up, we are not giving up ⚠️, we are almost there, full power or nothing 🚀 Thank you for the kindness and support, I appreciate you all, we will fix the anomaly & test again.
