ok so let me explain why subagents kill long context Like you can spend $500m building 100 million context models, and they would be 1) slow, 2) expensive to use, 3) have huge context rot. O(n) is the lower bound. Cog's approach is something you learn in day 1 of CS50 - divide and parallelize. Embeddings are too dumb, Agentic Search is too slow. So train limited-agency (max 4 turns), natively parallel tool calling (avg parallelism of 7-8, custom toolset) fast (2800tok/s) subagents to give the performance of Agentic Search under an acceptable "Flow Window" that feels immaterially slower than Embeddings. The benefit of this is threefold: - 8 ^ 4 toolcalls cover a very large code search space. can compound subagent calls if more needed. - predictable cost & end to end latency - subagent outputs "clean" contexts, free of context failure modes like context poisoning and context rot (h/t Drew Breunig ) we originally called this Rapid Agentic Search, to contrast with RAG. but Fast Context rolls of the tongue better. there's 2 other perspectives that are worthwhile, i'll go into below, but just go try it out. here it is on Andrej Karpathy's fastchat

This woman just found out while pumping gas that there is a risk of fire due to static electricity. She’s gone this long as a driver and never noticed the signs on the pumps or didn’t pay attention in driving school to know this. For me this is an urban legend, I know it’s not. But it’s one of those things I’ve heard about, but I’ve never seen any examples of it actually happening. Most cars now have metal handles inside the car to open the door. I think that by opening the door with the metal handle it prevents any static electricity as soon as you exit. mingyu sharing his cardio routine 🐶 cardio? i hate it. as you all know, i extremely hate cardio and i think i'm bad at dieting 🐶 what i do for cardio is that i have to exercise in the morning when i'm dieting. i wake up in the morning and walk slowly for a long time on an empty stomach. not really like running when you're on a treadmill but kind of a jog then i do it for a long time - in a way that i can wake my body up and remove my puffiness, then i eat something healthy then work out. rather than exercising in a fast pace for 20 minutes, i like doing it slowly and for a long time but that's the hardest. you know what i mean right? 🐶 other forms of cardio that i do is the stairmaster or i just go for a run outside, but when i go for a run i just get way too excited... anyway doing it on an empty stomach in the morning is the best for me 🐶 also if you go on youtube– i'll upload it on my ig story soon, but there are tabata exercises there for abs or whole body. i wake up in the morning and do that alone! 20 minutes and you'll be sweating profusely!

About a 19+ week run which is long, doesn’t mean the end of the world is coming. Just means we had a great run and the easy $ is potentially over for a little bit for the TML’s(that’s what I trade), still feels like late 90’s to me. Even then we based for periods. It’s not nothing when $AVGO $NVDA $AMD $HOOD $META $PLTR $CRDO $ORCL all crash and close at near lows below 20ema. I follow the leaders 1st, not the Indices. Things seem quicker vs then, what took months now take days to weeks sometimes. Things can get violent fast in a low liquidity market(end of summer). A month of gains can be given back in 2-3 days sometimes if you stubbornly hold especially if on margin. I thought we were gonna run a bit longer into FOMC as I said. I don’t know if this is a 2 day, 2 week, or 2mo rest but I’ll be on the leaders when they’re ready. A lot of negativity on here tonight so that’s a good thing. Still pondering the ramifications of the bomb changes to gameplay. I am curious about 2 current outcomes since the update. 1HP damage happening no matter where you are on the map. Is this intentional or just an unintended side effect? And if it is intentional, what is the purpose of being condemned to death at 1HP if the bomb detonates no matter how far from the C4 you are. The second being no damage to armour. It is rare that you live long enough to replenish armour, but bomb damage is usually one of the key ways players have their armour unknowingly chipped away at. But again is this an intentional change or just something that has arisen due to the change in the mechanic? I am not concerned with the debate around the indicator for bomb damage range being noobfriendly. This type of conversation has been happening for well over a decade now whenever new features are added. Some people will view it as a quality of life upgrade, others will view it as removing a skill they either have, or believe, should be learnt and not spoonfed by the UI - either way I would prefer to focus on the outcomes of the gameplay.

A couple sound bites that stood out to me from Jack Gohlke after Oakland beat Kentucky last night… 1. He puts his phone away 2 hours before the game and doesn’t check it for a while after the game either. This should be a non-negotiable for ALL athletes and something they all should implement into their pre-game and post-game routines. Nothing leads to more mental fatigue, and zaps energy and being in the moment as much as the phone. 2. True belief in yourself and your team is a POWERFUL thing. When you know deep down that you don’t just belong on the same court/field as others, but that you are the best player on it, magic happens.
