🛢️⛔️🇨🇦🌊 : Before Justin Trudeau came to power, Enbridge spent $1 billion on a Northern Gateway pipeline proposal. 🛢️I put the proposed pipeline route from the Alberta oilsands to Kitimat, at the end of the video. 🦅Enbridge had an agreement with First Nation equity partners, who stood to gain $2 billion from the project. 🚫When Justin Trudeau came to power, the pipeline project was cancelled. 🤐This was done without consultation with First Nations or Enbridge, who lost bigtime on their investments. 💵So why would any private company want to waste vast sums of cash & time, only to be tossed out on a whim? 🏭Remember, we even had a proposal to build a refinery in Kitimat to help reduce the risks of a bitumen spill because we would be shipping very profitable refined products like jet fuel and gasoline. 💰The refinery proposal had loads of private investment ready to go. 👷It would have created thousands of excellent long term paying jobs for communities desperate for such lasting quality employment. That too was cancelled due to a complete lack of interest and even outright hostility from both the Federal & Provincial governments. We have lost tens of billions of dollars in economic growth for communities that desperately needed it.

Have not seen this kind of punishment since we took Chrystia Freeland to the woodshed?😂 Eby keeps referring to the Pipeline that already exists and how much it cost but neglects all the reasons why The Liberals had to buy it and that the party his party propped up had cost overruns in the tens of billions. Also neglects to say why no “private” money will invest in BC now. It took weeks for Elections BC to determine the winner. The October 2024 British Columbia election was easily the most dysfunctional, corrupt & unethical election in Canadian history. The BC NDP tried to change the ballot to switch the name of the Conservative Party of British Columbia to the BC Conservatives, after mail in ballots had been sent out. Early voting centers had staff take home blank ballots & even cast ballots in some ridings. The BC NDP even allowed phone in voting. 15,000+ ballots were added to the final count, AFTER election day. Affidavits were filed showing dementia ward seniors were sending in mail in ballots, that had been requested in bulk. Including in the very riding the BC NDP won, by 22 votes in a recount. When the government can change the rules and take weeks to determine the winner of an election, you can't expect them to care about the will of the people. Today there was a presser announcing the submission to the "major projects office" of the pipeline expansion from Alberta to the coast of BC. In this clip a reporter asks why there is a need to have government subsidization of it. Premier replies that it's because there is so much industry uncertainty involving pipeline development (due to so many costly cancelled approvals in the past) that having government subsidies give assurance to the contractors that the project won't be cancelled. She also noted that the project would be a lucrative investment for taxpayers. Carney added that the "de-risked" TMX is added a fair amount of money to social programs for all Canadians. He talks about other similar "investments" into nuclear projects and data centres and that the government's role is "catalytic" in all of that. He says it's the federal government's role to create the conditions unlock the ability of private companies to invest and build. He said this is for the benefit of all Albertans and Canadians. _____ Of course this is all doublespeak. What we are seeing is a transition to having even more state owned control of our valuable resources. There will be a continued massive beaurocratic bloat coupled with patronage appointments. All the feds have to do is stop with the regulatory nonsense and the rest would fall into place. The march to having increased control of this country and it's citizens continues.
