Been doing development for  platforms recently For my email, I've always been a Spark Mail user and loved it, but the latest Spark mail app on Mac just doesn't feel native anymore. Now building the "Flighty" experience for email 💌

Totally agree about @SparkMailApp , it feels "heavier & heavier" after each update. So I'm looking around for something not so bloated with AI etc Flighty looks nice!

Two questions: Will there be a calendar like we had in Spark and will there be support for multiple accounts — such as iCloud, Gmail, and Outlook?

Hey! Thanks for the good questions :) 1. Possibly, perhaps not in V1 as I personally use Apple Calendar and am happy with that, so it depends on how people might use email + calendar combo 2. Goal is to let it work entirely on the IMAP protocol so everyone can use it!

Love spark as well and def agree that it’s gotten bloated with all the AI features etc but I still think it’s the best email client out there. What’s your experience been like?

Spark Classic was quite nice as native Mac app, the new one I just can’t get used to as nice feeling app for some reason

Yeah new one is electron I believe so it’ll never be as good as spark classic was. Looking forward to testing out what you’re building!

Oh I would love an alternative for @SparkMailApp I have been using it for almost 10 years but it’s getting harder to recommend with all the subscription and paid ai push. I hope it’s oss!

@SparkMailApp you need to up your game or we switch. The main reason I got stuck with Spark was the multi account sync right on setup with just one login, mail on iPhone and macOS requires all accounts setup every time fresh on every device..so annoying
