And the irony is that in this appearance yesterday the new completely out of context pull quote is about how he used AI for ‘Animals’ when he spoke at length about how no generative AI footage is in the movie & he thinks generative AI is crap and will never replace creatives.

As I understood it they said that it's recommended to repeat it, but that they weren't forced to and that things worked out with the audience anyway.

Rogan's one skill is with certain guests he makes them feel so relaxed and casual that they sometimes say things that they maybe wouldn't if they were being careful I remember this part of that podcast, they definitely weren't debunking it! They were 3 gen xers talking shit

This is why anyone with half a brain doesn't swallow mainstream media garbage. The amount of spin, things taking out of context. It's all clickbait nonsense. Podcasts aren't perfect but at least you hear from the horse's mouth what the deal is, not through some idiot journo.

Matt Damon reveals Christopher Nolan wanted him to look lean and strong for his role in The Odyssey , says he stopped eating gluten and drinking beer Matt Damon: “And we were talking, we were just catching up about the kids and everything, and then about fifteen minutes into the call, he said, ‘Oh, I’m thinking of going back to work.’ And I’d like to offer you the central role.” “And he goes, ‘Don’t you wanna hear what it is?’ and I was like, ‘Sure.’ And he goes, ‘It’s a two word pitch, The Odyssey.’” “Yeah, it was like my heart skipped a beat, ’cause it’s just such an incredible part to play for an actor, of course. Of course. The role of a lifetime.” On the physical transformation: Interviewer: “From the time you found out that you were playing this role to the first day of rolling frame… how much time did you have?” Matt Damon: “Six months.” Interviewer: “How much weight did you have to lose or gain?” Matt Damon: “It was lose. He didn’t say specifically. He said, ‘I just want him to look lean and strong, like somebody who’s a veteran of the Trojan War and can handle himself.’ It just kind of took over my life.” “Every single day… it felt more like an athlete’s regimen. Everything’s weighed. Everything’s very, very intentional.” On the diet change: Interviewer: “I heard that you stopped eating gluten?” Matt Damon : “Yeah it turned out I didn’t know gluten’s in everything rice, potatoes, bread, pasta… all the stuff that we love. I had to give up beer too. That was tough. But I just felt so much better.”

Ben Affleck reveals seeing OpenAI made him call Matt Damon and warn “we’re finished,” before realizing its researchers knew little about how movies are made “And then there’s this company OpenAI, and they have this text-to-image thing. And as I was telling you before, I’ve learned to take advantage of the opportunities my life has afforded, which is essentially, probably inappropriately, I find often I’m able to just pick up the phone and say, ‘Hi, I’m Ben Affleck. Can I just come in and see what you’re doing?’" "People are like, ‘Sure.’ It still baffles me, but nonetheless, I went in and looked at what they were doing." "At first I kind of had a heart attack, I called Matt Damon. I was like, ‘Dude, we have to do as many movies in the next few years because we’re finished.’" "I went back, looked at it, and then started saying, ‘Well, hold on a second. Why isn’t this working in the way that I think it should work?’" "And it was a very strange thing to realize that I was dealing with researchers and scientists who were so incredibly smart in this one way and had so little information about video and how it’s created, or how it’s defined, and how it’s captioned, and how it needs to be organized." "And so, having learned the lessons of the previous failed entrepreneurship and having raised money for Artists Equity already, I gambled on this notion that in order to do this in an ethical way, and in a way that could take this technology and actually make it work hand in glove with artists in this community where there are very fixed, long-standing relationships around likeness and so forth, we had to create our own data set.”
