Because approximately 300 toto (e-rickshaw) drivers joined the BJP, TMC-backed goons are preventing them from operating their vehicles in the market. Tayebur Rahman, Raju Rahman, and Afzal Haque of the toto union are also preventing them from even parking their vehicles at the toto stand. Therefore, these toto drivers are protesting by lying down on the road. They are clearly stating that their only crime is joining the BJP, and that being Hindu is also considered a crime. In this way, TMC is attacking the livelihoods of the people of the state in every region. They are attacking opposition party workers and obstructing their means of earning a living. Is this what democracy in West Bengal looks like? Are these toto drivers not Bengalis? TMC, which calls itself the party of Bengal and Bengalis, is attacking Bengali toto drivers and their livelihoods!

It is insane that they are allowed to vote on whether they should EXPOSE themselves, their crimes, not to mention what they use OUR taxpayer funds to cover up. A new system needs to be created as a checks/balance on Congress. They should not be allowed to vote for their own pay raises, time off, etc. They should not be allowed to receive any personal "funds" from lobbyists. They should not be able to Insider Trade. They should not be able to vote to protect themselves from the public view of the atrocities they've committed as well as not showing receipts for hush payments. This system is fckd up. We deserve Change and need to demand it.
