As announced, KMC has started work on repairing its roads. There are a total of 106 roads in KMC’s domain & we will be rehabilitating those roads to ensure that there are no potholes & the traffic remains smooth. Video is of Sher Shah Suri Road where work has begun. Have given a time of 60 days to the KMC team to complete this task. Will keep everyone posted 🙏

In line with that commitment, I have come here at midnight with my officials to conduct an inspection. Our third-party agency is also present with us. They have the necessary machinery to verify the road's thickness and quality. Our target is to ensure that 700 kilometers of roads become completely pothole-free, high-quality, and smooth by November 30th. We promise the people of Delhi that we will soon bring all PWD roads into excellent condition and maintain them properly..."

I just inspected the ongoing reconstruction of Sapele Road to assess the quality and progress of work firsthand. I am impressed by the standard of construction being delivered. With the quality of work currently being executed, this road is being built to serve our people for generations. Our commitment is not just to construct roads, but to deliver durable infrastructure that will stand the test of time. My administration remains focused on quality, accountability, and value for every kobo invested. I was at Aba to inspect a couple of roads that are undergoing rehabilitation. I am happy with the progress of work, particularly at Cemetry Road. The contractor has also taken the initiative to desilt the drainage system, which demonstrates their commitment to ensuring a long-lasting and sustainable road infrastructure. It is worth noting that the rehabilitation efforts extend beyond Cemetry Road, with a total of nine roads currently undergoing partial and comprehensive rehabilitation. All the roads are being handled by reputable companies, including CCECC, Craneburg, and MCC. Regardless of the weather conditions, we remain dedicated to the task of rebuilding Aba for the benefit of our people.

What kind of development are we building for Uttarakhand? A video shared by young environmentalist Shankar Singh Bisht claims that trees have been marked for road widening in the Nag Devta forest between Bua Khal and Kandoliya, Pauri Garhwal, with some trees reportedly already cut. If this road is already wide and functional, then what exactly are we gaining by cutting an entire forest for more width? This is the same Uttarakhand where sick and elderly people are still carried 2, 5 and even 10 kilometres on dandi-kandi because their villages have no motor road. We don’t have roads to hospitals. But we have the ambition to widen roads that already exist. And then we wonder why the Himalayas keep producing Kwarab, Sirobagar, Lambagad, Pagalnala and Tota Ghati. Every tree removed from an unstable mountain slope isn’t just an environmental statistic. It can mean more erosion, more landslides and greater risk for the very roads we are widening. We celebrate “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.” Then mark thousands of trees for cutting in the name of development. If development means cutting forests to make existing roads wider while villages remain without roads at all, perhaps the question isn’t whether Uttarakhand needs development. The question is: development for whom, and at what cost?

Yet, potholes continue to dominate our streets and road conditions are only getting worse. Where has this taxpayer’s money gone? I have urged Minister Sri Krishna Byre Gowda to release a White Paper within 30 days, detailing every rupee spent on roads over the last three years, with complete road-by-road and ward-by-ward details of the works executed, contractors involved, officials in charge, and the outcomes achieved. We appeal to the CM, DCM and Commissioner: please fix the roads on the race route before then. This race is Bengaluru’s pride. Runners come from across India. Let them return impressed, not disappointed. We are only asking for 10 kilometres as we know it’s too much to ask of you to fix all roads in the city. If roads can be repaired overnight for VIP movement, surely they can be repaired in two weeks for the common people of Bengaluru. Give us a safe race. These pelethon pests are becoming a big problem for the people of wicklow. Its gone from Saturday's and Sunday's to every fucking day now. We pay our road taxes to have a load of arseholes hold us up all week on the roads around the county. Time to start taxing cyclists and the money given tax free to the people who's daily lives they are effecting.
