Upstream Data has a new software initiative starting with our LoadSync™ industrial bitcoin mining controller. We converted from PLC controls to a much more scalable embedded Linux based architecture. This project is led by b_rowan and James Hilliard. Brett gives an overview of what it can do today, but there's so much more coming soon! LoadSync is just the beginning of our software plans, I can't wait to show you what we have in store. Our long term goal for LoadSync is to have a drop-in product for every bitcoin mine on the planet at any scale. A complete fleet management tool for everything associated with a bitcoin mining load. LoadSync is built upon an open source library also maintained by Brett, called PyASIC. More and more bitcoin miners are integrating PyASIC every day, you should too! Go find it on GitHub. Another inspiring Bitcoin story Buena Vista, Colorado is becoming a new Bitcoin hub * already 19 businesses onboarded already (more than Colorado Spings) * Chamber of Commerce actively promoting it * Feedback from businesses (who were not bitcoiners) includes: "Our instore sales have increased, and 20% of our sales are now in Bitcoin" "it feels cleaner" "it feels more natural" "1 in 8 of our sales are now in Bitcoin" How did this happen? One person who in his spare time doing something we can all do - talking to people with a mindset of service. Luke Cortese(Bitcoin Ranger) is the honeybadger who has been behind this incredible story. But it gets better Each month he runs a "treasure hunt" where new members of the community learn about Bitcoin. 25 new people started using Bitcoin on the last one. AND He's open sourcing the model so other small towns across the country can start onboarding new businesses. He's already gotten enquiries from neighboring towns, and states.

But every once in a while, we’ve used a block to do something else too: mark a moment worth remembering. Leaving a message in a block isn’t exactly new. Satoshi did it in the first one: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.” A newspaper headline, timestamped into history. We’ve followed Satoshi’s example a few times since. Like when El Salvador declared bitcoin legal tender, or when the ESG crowd came for bitcoin mining. And, on a more personal note, when I asked Summer Meng to marry me, which we also captured in this video. Those messages will remain on the bitcoin timechain forever. So, did I spam bitcoin?

Wow a memecoin CTO has unearthed a piece of crypto history... A 12 year-old boy made a youtube video in 2011 talking about Bitcoin when it was still at only $8... even before Davinci Davinci Jeremie made his viral video and before Michael Saylor has even heard of Bitcoin. The $TPU community has made a memecoin to honour First Bitcoin Kid Token and has since found him and gotten in touch with him, with the mission of spreading this story and getting eyes on this piece of crypto history. 🔥 Tom the First Bitcoin Kid now holds and has agreed to lock nearly 12,000,000 TPU for 6 months and has since come onto a spaces to tell the rest of his story, explaining that he was too young to invest in Bitcoin at the time. Their next mission is to get 1 bitcoin for Tom so he can purchase it for $8 so he can buy it at the price he found it at! Super dedicated and cultish community have been working hard and are making quick progress with their missions.

It has now passed the Senate and the House, and will be signed by DeSantis within the next 30 days! How was this able to happen? Well, because we are literally the best State in the Union, that is how. Florida has been the leader in the Bitcoin world, and we will continue to be a leader to ensure we are the Bitcoin Capitol of the United States and the World. This was the most demanded feature from Bitcoiners in the Global South. For many in these regions, TRON operates as a practical USD on/off ramp, just like ACH or wire transfers, helping them access #Bitcoin more efficiently. According to customers, by not supporting it, we were unintentionally hindering adoption and not competitive with others like Binance. At Strike, our mission is to empower people around the world with #Bitcoin. In many markets outside the US, EU, and UK, this is the USD ramp customers need to reach #Bitcoin. By adding this feature, we make Strike a more accessible tool for billions, bridging the gap between their local currency, USDT, and #Bitcoin. TRON is a shitcoin. But the reality is, stablecoins (Tether) are very important in these markets. USD is a shitcoin. GBP is a shitcoin. So this decision for us was more about our commitment to being customer-focused by providing on and off ramps that further #Bitcoin adoption. The goal will always be enabling customers to transition into #Bitcoin on their own terms. #Bitcoin is our focus. After talking with Bitcoiners globally, we're confident this step will help more people to join the revolution.

Harvey Levin says the latest letter sent to TMZ isn’t a ransom note but a demand for one bitcoin in exchange for the alleged kidnapper’s identity: “This letter that we got this morning is not a ransom letter. It is a letter saying that the person who wrote it knows the identity of the kidnapper, and for the price of one bitcoin, that person will disclose the information. The person gives a bitcoin address. We have checked it all day so far, and there is no bitcoin that has been deposited. If this is a hoax, it’s a crime.
