Visited this factory today in China. 3D Laser cutting Robot and what not! 4 floors, Ground is Production other 3 assembly and storage. Forget about my factory floor there floor is cleaner than my House. 3rd pic is the item we’ll be importing.

We have 6 different models of CNC machines already designed and validated for production but we would need crores to scale up production and offer it to other manufacturers. Hence, we only build machines for our own production facility. Capital is a bottleneck for us. Currently we just have a tiny space within our own factory which is our R&D lab. We are a team of mere three people. Scaling hardware isn’t easy but it’s something that must be done for us to truly be self-reliant. Really appreciate your efforts Sridhar Vembu to build these hardware tools here. We must build more factories and hardware products in the country. Long way to go before I sleep.

Break it. Their strength is massive centralized inflexible factories churning out goods for the world. Ours is autonomous flexible factories that can pop up anywhere.

JUST IN: 🇷🇸🇮🇱Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that he is going to start producing drones for Israel: “We will open a drone factory here in September, but with the Israelis. We are doing this with the Israelis. The Ukrainians are very successful and have many of their own drone factories in this field, so we will invite you here for the opening. I think it will be sometime around September 15–20.”

Why is China ahead of the World? I'll tell you WHY. I took a train Hong Kong → China at 8:20 AM. By 11, I was at my 1st factory for a meeting. Had my Lunch, then the second factory by 1:30 PM. 3:00 → third factory. 4:30 → fourth factory. By 6:30 PM, back on the train to Hong Kong. 🇭🇰 3 cities, 4 factories, 1 day. ✅ This works because of: - insane infrastructure, - ⁠tight ecosystems - train connectivity, and - factories being super prepared. Everything is ready for discussion. Quick in and out. You can’t measure this kind of productivity… until you experience it yourself.
