Blender tutorials are about to age very badly. In this demo, Kimi K3 gets two character references and a plain-English request. Minutes later, it builds the first version inside Blender. The user asks for a better horn, Kimi edits the same scene, and the character starts moving. This is... not another AI tool generating one lucky image. It is working with an actual editable 3D project, then changing the geometry after feedback instead of restarting from zero. It still needs human direction, because the first result is rarely the good one. But blockouts, repetitive edits, Blender Python, and basic iteration are becoming a conversation rather than hours of clicking through menus. Instead of manually importing assets, fixing rigs, placing armies, adjusting cameras, and debugging objects that face the wrong direction, the user simply tells Grok what to change. It builds a medieval battlefield from existing 3D assets, adds horses, knights, a castle, siege machines, trees, animation paths, cameras, and even spatial audio. The impressive part is not that it gets everything right. It absolutely does not. Models spawn upside down, characters face the wrong way, and the scene needs constant correction. But Grok keeps editing the actual Blender project instead of generating another fake 3D image and hoping nobody notices. It is replacing a suspicious amount of the boring work they had to do before the skilled part even started.

The task: rebuild a 3D globe dashboard. 🌎 The result was almost too good. It did not just build a working page. The texture, lighting, spacing, depth, glass panels, and overall layout were all remarkably close to the reference. Some parts felt nearly pixel-perfect. My honest first impression: for this kind of frontend work, Kimi K3 might be slightly better than Fable 5. All at Sonnet prices.

GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra was given a full set of character references and asked to rebuild the character in Blender, rig it, create three animations, export a real GLB, and build a complete Three.js showcase around it. The entire pipeline was completed in 2 hours and 11 minutes. The final model still loses some of the original proportions, costume structure, and material fidelity, but going from reference images to a rigged, animated 3D character running in the browser is already a very strong result. I'm not a 3d modeler. I barely know how to open blender let alone do anything functional in it. But with the siddharth ahuja blender MCP and Claude I was able to vibe code an entire environment for my upcoming grow a garden game in Portals Claude used the MCP to assemble and arrange every single asset in this space (i literally don't even know how to import an asset into blender lol) within the spawn of a few hours and with access to a folder of low poly assets. When I had it start doing its own modeling, it even matched the style of the environment to keep things consistent If you are building UGC games and you don't know anything about modeling or design like me, you gotta try it out...

This model is too expensive to replace fable 5, BUTT it shows that the chinese open source labs are CATCHING anthropic and open ai FASTTT.

Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the action in Blender 3. Feed both to Seedance My Blender reference was just rough timing, camera shake, and spatial choreography, and Seedance tracked the speed, motion, and action way better than I expected. This is the difference between describing a shot and directing one.

I think I've written the world's fastest Blender exporter. It exports full levels in 9 milliseconds. Check out this video where I show live editing of levels from blender, and it updates instantly in the game. For some context: Okay, since the beginning of development on this game project, I knew I didn't want to write a custom level editor for it and rather spend my time programming the game. I decided to use blender as the level editor, and export directly from blender to my game engine's file format. Blender only lets you write add-ons in Python, which is not just incredibly slow but also a terrible platform for this kind of systems programming work. So, after having a Python exporter for the longest time, I decided enough was enough, and I programmed this exporter in C. Blender doesn't expose any C API or interface. So my only option was to download Blender's source code and insert my code directly into Blender. And that's what I did :) So this new C exporter not only is orders of magnitude faster than the python version, but also is way more robust. And because I'm in C land, my hands are much freer to do things. There are two elements of secret sauce that make this exporter run so fast: - A custom memory arena implementation. - Lockless multithreading.

AI has started building its own successors. It's happening right now. Humans still kick most of it off, but the models are already training the next models, and each version builds a better version faster than the last. We know what happens when something gets an advantage and the substrate is there... it proliferates incredibly fast. Soon it just runs the whole process itself. People are still debating whether AI takes your job. That's not the question. You can't compete with this intelligence at all. Next to it the human is negative value, the slowest one in the room. And this is the slowest it will ever move again. It's about to run on its own, faster than we can conceive of, and nobody's prepared for that. Wonderful conversation as ever with Emad.
