Blizzard's Secret Classic+ Plan Finally Leaked Three different content creators have come out with information about Classic Plus that paint a (likely) picture of a game that is massively different than expected. Instead of an expanded vanilla, these creators hint at a sequel, or technically a prequel. It goes... back in time to before the events of Warcraft 3. We see reimagined zones and tons of fan service interacting with a young Arthas and Illidan. It's definitely not what anybody expected, but it could be absolutely huge. One of the three creators, OneAzerothTV, is a retail main. And when he saw the leaks, became concerned that this might end up actually overtaking Retail World of Warcraft. They are not going to 'expand' classic by rebuilding the entire game, rewriting most of the quests, lore etc. lmao. This entire 'leak' is fake and gay

There is no world where we see WoW go pre-WC3 coming out as C+. The sheer amount of content it would remove. Kalimdor, nelves, literally the ENTIRE modern Horde wouldn't exist yet. Illidan still imprisoned in the barrow deeps. These are things that even the most disconnected <c>

I assume you've seen this leak from 2024 that has been all but confirmed by this point? My current bet is Camelot is Classic+ as many of us imagine. Chronicles is the prequel RTS (outsourced) with anime tie-in. The Arthas & Illidan fanservice will be tied to their own RPGs.

Fan service with young Arthas and Illidan makes a lot of sense considering the Arthas stuff we saw in the legit leak timeline from earlier.

yeah. it makes sense from many angles: 1 - as a fan i would love it (if we get a full on arthas storyline while we quest classic-style thats..pretty dope) 2 - it brings in a way bigger audience than making vanilla 20% better but theres huge risk with their moves here

Something I didn't realize is, if there are multiple classic projects in play, it may divide the player base even more. Initially, I was looking to mainly play Classic+ and most likely retail. If there's another project or two... .. only so much time in the day¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Of all of the things that isn't happening, this is one of them. People can't be convinced Blizzard is capable of making a good, brand new game anymore. Now they're expecting them to fart out an entirely brand new World of Warcraft? We're more likely to get yet another iteration of Classic with modern QOL like transmogs, updated character models, and access to housing.

Makes no sense tbh. There would be no Horde, no Kalimdor, no Nightelves, and no Forsaken. It's a nice thought, but sounds like complete BS. I'm down to be proven wrong though if someone can enlighten me.

Up until Warcraft 3 Kalimdor wasn't known by anyone except the people that lived on it, so you'll either only be able to experience the Illidan stuff by making a Tauren or a Night Elf, or this is completely bullshit

Sadly, Blizz is going to have a really tough time with the hype and expectations people have for "Classic+" Blizzcon is going to be very interesting for sure!

You don't even need leaks to predict c+ being a prequel. It's the only way blizzard could get away with making something new while making it feel old and familiar. "Camelot" and datamined high elf and Lordaeron tabards would only make sense together in a prequel context

Would be really cool had this come out some decade and change ago before Blizzard became the Blizzard of today, who seems quite conflict adverse. Bit weird for enemies with THOUSANDS of years of conflict just shrugging away their problems.

Idc what they make if there’s 10 sec mount animations, 4 spell cast and I’m oom, autoattacking melee top damage. All the stuff that makes classic cringe I don’t think they’ll get many retail ppl to play.

Prequel would be the worst choice they could make, it would just be chromie sending us into the past to help make sure these events happen.

This would be too much of a new game for a team to cobble together in a such a short time
