Mistakes. Bad calls. Pressure moments. They’re guaranteed. The question is—do you have TOOLS to respond? ✅ A reset breath ✅ A power phrase ✅ A refocus routine Champions don’t guess how to bounce back. They train for it. Use your tools. Reset. Respond. Win the next pitch.

The next time you make an error or any type of mistake during competition, use this simple 3 step Reset Routine to quickly bounce back. Step 1: Before the game, draw a reset button under your hat. You can also draw it on your wrist tape, on your glove or wherever you’d like to. Step 2: After an error, take off your hat and take a deep breath while pressing the reset button. This will help you gain control and stop any downward spiral from starting. Step 3: Take control of your self-talk by repeating “hit the next ball to me, I will make this play”. This may be the most important part of it all. Know that it’s all about having a routine to go to, not if, but WHEN adversity comes your way. So, the next time you inevitably fall short of your expectations, utilize this Reset Routine and you’ll be ready to make the next play.

I tell you for free, there’s always a limit to how much abuse one can take. When you finally hit your limit, it can make you do something unbelievable.🎬🍿

Aaron Judge was the best hitter in baseball last year. He still had bad at bats. Chases. Strikeouts looking. Whiffs on fastballs right down the middle. The difference? He doesn’t let one bad at-bat become two. Elite hitters don’t avoid failure, they recover from it faster than everyone else. Here are some tips that have worked for our hitters: 1️⃣ Reset Step out. Breathe. Slow the game down. One breath in. One breath out. Flush it. 2️⃣ Refocus Pick a focal point. The logo on your bat. The foul pole. Focus on it. Take a deep breath. Get back to the present. 3️⃣ Visualize See your best swing. Drive a double in to the gap in your mind. Everything happens twice. Once in your mind, once on the field. 4️⃣ Prepare Confidence isn’t magic. It’s built in practice. Trust your training. 5️⃣ Believe You have to believe you’re one swing away, because you are. Do the work. Have a system for when you aren’t feeling your best. Prepare relentlessly. Baseball is a game of failure. The players who go the furthest aren’t the ones who never struggle. They’re the ones who bounce back the fastest.
