Can't believe the guy that practices the "ancient exercises" is good at the "ancient exercises".

I spent years on constructions sites and anyone that has will know functional training at weird angles will always win. Obviously they train for events which is a different training model.

It’s not a strength issue they are not familiar with these tools & as such do not have the neural circuits to use them, it’s like someone with a very heavy bench press struggling with pushups bcz he has never done them

Now do a comparison with an exercise people actually care about like bench press.

Technique matters. The bodybuilders are definitely stronger and no ancient people were built like them

Natural strength vs roids.

Somewhere along the line training lost the plot and morphed into being about looking strong rather than being functionally strong...

The difference between ali and a bodybuilder is ali was a powerlifter's that a powerlifter's training focuses on strength, not muscle mass and size.

Bodybuilding gets you muscle but that doesn’t mean you’re strong. I know a 6 foot guy who’s lanky and can bench more than some of these guys. Big doesn’t mean good, take note ladies

Why do people think bodybuilding is for strength it's called "bodybuilding" not "strength building" it's focused on aesthetic

80goggle08's profile picture

it's because the tools and machines they use only train basic movements and isolated muscle groups, i bet someone like a gymnast or even construction worker that lifts heavy shit all day would have an easier time.
